Riva 510 or 901?

So ive been hearing such great things about the riva/ego style PV's. The first difficult thing was trying to find out what the hell the difference was between an eGo and a Riva, and I think its just 2 brands of the same thing and the riva tends to be less expensive. Liberty flights has a Riva kit on sale for 29.99! crazy cheap and I'm thinking about buying one! (OMG Ive been vaping for 3 days and already want another kit, my wife is gonna murder me!)

So now a new question pops up. The Riva 901 or the Riva 510. It is my understanding that the 901 is compatible with kr808 stuff such as the cartos I ordered from Vapor4life. And I know the 510 stuff is compatible with the ModernVapor 902 I already have. So Should I get the 510 to compliment the kit I have now, or the 901 to give me a broader set of tools to work with? What would you get?

I've never tried the 901, but I've heard many times that the 510 produces more vapor and throat hit, whereas the 901 has more flavor. As for me, the 510 seems to produce plenty of flavor

you could get the 510 version, and buy a 510-901 adapter ( 99c at goodprophets) and use both!

I second this. I do have the 901 version but believe I'm going to have to have an adapter anyway, can't get the cartos to fire. kr808 cartos on a 510 thread are a really nice vape and you can also try out the 510 cartos. You might want to add a 901 cone to your order though if you like the look of them. The 901 cone is a little shorter so more of the carto sticks out. Or, you can order a drip tip. It lengthens the carto by half and prevents leaky carto juice mouth.

I did get an adapter so I could use those cartos already! haha! I think I will just get the 510 if there is some compatibility issues with the kr8 cartos on the 901 anyway. I cant believe I am about to order another kit. But its such a good deal. just the 2 atty's would close to 20 bucks! Im gonna get one before they are all gone!

I came to a conclusion last night after posting with several other people that have the same problem with the kr8s and 901 threading on the Riva. It turns out that the 901s will actually work with the Kanger designed cartos and V4L's WOW or premiums. They won't however work with the Cool Carts, Vapor Nine's Turbos, CigEasy's Gold, etc. The design on the newer cartos won't allow them to make proper contact. I'm thinking that the Riva 901 threading was designed around the Kanger model and the newer cartos weren't taken into account.
