What other PVs did you try?

Riva SE
Ego Passthrough
Vgo tank System
Volt
Joye 510
njoy
"8$ juicebox mod"

I'm a ~3.7v guy

I am learning that I am a 3.7V kinda guy as well. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right. TYVM Goldilocks! :p

Riva beats VGO...glad I didn't get a VGO then.

Now, the juicebox mod looks very interesting.....hmmmm!?

I too am curious about the riva over the Vgo....just the tank system?

Spaceballs, I thought that was the KGO you were looking at. You're mixing up your miscellaneous "gos" again again

Yeah... The Vgo tank system was a stupid move on my part. The website/seller I bought it from doesn't even exist anymore.

The entire kit literally fell apart on me. Talk about buyer's remorse... although the kit did look cool though :D

The juicebox mod is nice. I'm loving it so far and it was surprisingly easy to make and cheap :D

...and now there is ejuice EVERYWHERE! :glug:

At one point (in my head) the Kanger VGO was a contender.

Seriously, where are a couple of places to pick up an Echo auto? I want to take another look at it. The idea of having a nice auto batt that I can hold in my mouth is appealing. That's why I like my V2 autos. Toke as you go.:2cool:

Tony at Cropduster has Echos at a good price. 44.95 for a kit.
I've been using the Echo auto since May and it works very good. I think it is the best auto on the market.:2cool::vapor:

see above, Spaceballs. And say hello to the one responsible for saving me when I was suffering with my ego. I don't know how I managed to find his echo thread as a lurker but I did. Sorry, I would have said Tony as well but I missed you reposting your request.

they do come with rubber tips as all large carts do. To hold it in your mouth you'll need a hard one. 801s are the style tip to look for. Either that or slip an extra long carto condom over the end and snip off the end and chew it like a cigar. And I actually prefer the single coils to the dual coils on these cartos

I haven't dealt with this guy, maybe txtumbleweed can recommend or not but here you can choose a kit with one 650 and one 1300. The 650 is the that fits most comfortably in my mouth. ECHO Starter Kit
His kits come only with duals I believe but you may be able to ask him for singles or buy a couple extra.

If you don't want one of each, Tony is great!

I have both 1300's and 650's the 650 is a little more comfortable to hold in mouth. The 801 hard tips off of the 801 carts work best. You can get them here for 2.95 for five with free shipping. You want the DSE 801 hard tip. Empty Cartridges

The original SE was the first Riva to come off the charger at 4.2 V but I think all of the Riva's do now. I have two Riva SE Batteries and I know they do.

There is a huge thread about this. Basicially it seemed the SE held at 3.7v while the lite/standard were around 3.3 or something. Been a while since I read thru it. Long read so enjoy

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/joye-510/65055-battery-voltages-surprise.html

Just to be sure, I will contact LF about that.

I am pretty sure that LF dumped off all of their 3.3/3.4V Rivas 6 months ago. They don't have it written on the Riva starter kit page, but on the Smok eGo page, they have this in the description - "These batteries are True 3.7v, like the EM Riva,..." Also, on Eastmall's website, they list the Riva 750mah as "Output: DC ≈3.7V ± 0.4V" Riva 750 (510) Starter Kit I'll be peeved if the Riva Lite is actually 3.3V!

I might have to pick up a Riva VV batt - Riva-VV (650 mAh) Battery

Must. Fight. Tempattion........ah, screw it! Sorry Charlz. :( I am a bad person

Yeah, it must be difficult to keep it in your mouth if it's soft.

Also found some at Smoktech (duh) and NWVapors. The 1300 would be too much weight. The 650 might also be too large, as I have trouble with my 380mah V2. The regular V2 is perfect, though.
Not really sure about this whole dual coil thing. Isn't a dual coil @1.5 ohm the same thing as a single coil @ 3.0 ohm?Or is there a noticeable difference when vaping?

It's a moot point. Resist the urge and enjoy your Riva for a little while. Again, I was just having fun. I will tell you this...without the manual switch these things just seem perfectly weighted and the 650 is a perfect for holding in the mouth.
The dual coil has always helped me on my ego but they seem to make no difference on the echo carts. And a single coil horizontal can be taken apart so I prefer the singles (when it comes to echos). This is the last we should bring it up here.http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/189567-echo-thread.html

We now return you to your regularly scheduled Riva thread....already in progress.

It's has somethng to do with two single coils working in parallel. Three ohms may be the starting point making it safer for the batteries but each coil is individually warmer and putting out more vapor. I know they make a noticible difference on my 510 stuff and really make my 3.3 ego somewhat enjoyable. But still not as enjoyable as a 2.0 ohm. The theory is that the lower V of the standard ego does not have the strength to make a dual coil live up to it's potential.

You Riva will be able to explore better than I can. Let me know.

Somebody soon will chime in who understands the science better.

It doesn't. Unfortunately Bill is not doing well, and has shut down until further notice. :(

"Due to health issues I am shuting down.

I will continue to have cartomizers for the IGO, ECHO/STEALTH and the ECHO-E.

I want to thank all of my customers and friends for your support.

I may be back sometime this summer.

thank you, very much
Bill"

Have you tried the Riva-T tank? I've been using one five days and it really works good. It isn't designed anything like the ego tank and works much better. It has a 2ml tank that hasn't leaked a drop and every hit has been the same. They produce excellent flavor and vapor and are the best atty tanks I've tried. Tony has them at RIVA-T TANK - $4.99 : Cropduster901!, Home of the B-52

are those the same ce2 style ones that are sold for 8-10 bucks elsewhere (or is this a redesign.) Can say I didn't like them for my ego but may work well on a riva. I guess I'm going to need a 3.7+ 510 soon so I can join in more
