thanks to advice and much reading on here last week, i ordered my riva 510. just gone to set it up and there's a bit missing 
i bought a starter kit and the write up sounded as if all i needed was juice and i was good to go. there are 2 batteries, charger and 5 empty cartridges. there's not one of the things to screw into the battery.
what do i need please and where from?
gutted. will have to go find a disposable one to tide me over
