:(VERY SAD, Love My 510 Rivas been vaping two batts for about 3 months now, one lasts me all day then on the usb to wall charger it goes. Last night put one on the charger and the led on the usb charger part stays green. the one that was on the charger was not charged either although the led was green as if it had charged. CLeaned the contacts. Carefull adjustment to the contacts, (as mentioned on forums) and still when either batt is put on the charger led stays green and no charge takes place. On TWO batts. The red light on the wall plug portion is red as always but the led on the usb cord part stays green period. I dont believe that two batts would fail at the same time and think it must be the usb cord part. Does this happen? do the lil chargers fail? Seems like such a simple piece of equip to just fail like that. ANy Ideas.?

Just a note, went ahead and ordered a single 510 riva batt and a usb charger to have so Ill have hopefully 3 good batts and a charger that works if that is the case? but kinda sucks going back to my regular 510 kit till they get here.:(

By "Carefull adjustment to the contacts" do you mean that you gently, slightly, pried up the center contact on the batteries? I absolutely found that necessary with Rivas, had to do that moderately frequently. (I'm a carto user, and some cartos would push the center contact down when I screwed them in -- they would work with the carto, but not make contact with the charger.)

Yes, I had a Riva Charger fail. It stayed green and didn't charge the batteries. I purchased 3 new 510 chargers from Mad Vapes. Prices are good and chargers work great. I've had them a few months now. Read the reviews over at Mad Vapes and it will help you choose your 510 charger (s). I can't remember which ones I chose...but I know the price was good and the models I chose had quite a bit of good reviews. Mad Vapes ships fast. Good Luck!

Here's what I discovered.
When my new batt and charger came in with some tinkering found that both my original rivas were FAIL!! This of course after about 3 months and some days. I believe the actual batts to be OK but more of a circuitry failure internally. (I don't use atomizers lower then the 2ohms that came with them) . With some further research I discovered for a few bucks more the ego models are guaranteed by Liberty flights for 6 months as opposed to 2 months on the rivas. So although the Rivas are great and I still recommend them to anyone, I will be from now on spending the few xtra dollars for 4 more months of warranty. That is some significant insurance for small change in compare to 2 month warranty and potential for a 2.5month or so fail on regular rivas. If my two failed batts were egos i could get em replaced under the longer warranty. So there it is....

Mfrs. recommend 1st charge of 8 hours even when the light is green. Then use for 15 minutes, then another hour of charge. Then vape until it needs charged again. Later charges you just need to wait until the light is green. Some folks here at ECF says it's not necessary. My biggest pet peeve about this business is lack of info (technical specs & important instructions like first charges). I would do the 8 hour charge and if it doesn't work contact the seller through their website "Contact us" section for info, refund or replacement. Most are happy to accommodate. Also, problem could be atomizer, cart, carto, etc. You almost have to be a detective to figure out why your "stuff" isn't working! You didn't say what kind of battery you bought so maybe you should contact seller first. I was giving you Riva/KGO instructions. I guess yours could be different.

If you got Rivas from L-F, they will tell you on the phone you can use them straight away now. The mfg in china used to send them uncharged, but things have changed, and the owners manual is no longer up to date.

I have 2 Riva kits, an eGo-t and I just sold an eGo kit. I prefer Riva, even if batteries dont last as long. They give a warmer vape. I go through at LEAST 4 batteries a day, so I figure a 2 month guarantee is covering my use. Plus Rivas were outlasting eGo's in working hours. So dont be surprised if you dont like the eGo as much. Price does not a good product make.
I leave my chargers plugged in, and the cord light is always green unless a battery is in the process of charging.
