Oh. Interesting. Are they black/gold? Edit: Just looked and doesn't give a description that I see for the Black SE's, only the Steel ones, which are silver/silver, no gold band like the standard Rivas I believe. And if you order a kit, don't forget about the discount from the upper left on the home page!

How do you mean? He has tested rivas etc in the past. He isn't testing for a flaw or similar, he is testing for a new design, that is all.

yea, but the point of this thread was to figure out if my batteries have a problem, and since someone else said the same thing, would be nice if we could figure it out.

for the questions about the Black SE RIVA... They have silver accents, like the Steel version. Only with a regular black paint job, instead if the brushed steel look.
These are also Gorgeous! The contrast is stunning, and makes the eGo batteries almost look dull, in comparison.

Maybe we need to send a black set to Scotbee as well. Abe?

Scott, feel free to mess up the batteries, I will send you some more. Open them up and take a look around :)

Damnit Abe.... but if I do that I have to quit vaping off of it!!!!!!! ;-)

Must admit, I am very tempted to give it the 1Ω load test (to see if that bug is fixed) and then pop one open to look at the board layout.

Maybe after this last tank of watermelon..... maybe....... ;-)

Thanks for that info.

But you should really send that kit to Rob for starting this thread... I mean he did start it, then me thinking he had what I had pointed out that mine where not PWM and run just like a 3.7 batt coming off the charger @4.2v (and creating confusion), then Scott jumped in and finally confirmed it when he got his own kit to test. They are gonna sell quick now that everyone knows they are 3.7 devices and not PWM regulated 3.4 devices... better get more ... :)

You've got the standard ones, they won't come off at 4.2

OK - becoming confused. I've purchased four Riva sets in the past two months. All were 510's ordered from the "lite bundle". All are black with gold ring/end trim and ALL come off the included charger at ~4.2vdc.

Seems they are no different than the SE's ? ?
