Hi, new to the forum and all that. Hope to stay awhile.

So I got a free NPro battery and some '2in1' cartomizers, and have been enjoying them quite a bit. Problem I'm having is the cartomizers that njoy sells are, well, bloody expensive. I've been looking around for the equivalent product, that is a cartomizer that will fit on the RN4081 battery.

The best I've found for blanks would be these, but... Well, they LOOK DIFFERENT. The ones from njoy have a skinny 'neck' underneath the threading. Will these fit? If not, what will? Anything for an equivalent price? Or do I have all my information all backwards and somehow I've been looking at the wrong model entirely?

Thanks for reading!

Yes, the nPro is a RN4081. I haven't used the ones from AZSmokefree or GoodProphets, but I did use some from the mall Kiosk which were cheaper than the 7-11 ones but still twice as expensive as the ones online. Their high nic is only 16mg tho which isn't enough for me. They also didn't have the neck you refer to but they worked just fine. The ones I got were a much better construction with a metal tube (Stainless?) instead of the plastic and the tip was removable for easier refilling. Mine didn't have the soft plastic tips like some of the 510 cartos out there, but it wasn't glued in like the nJoy branded ones. I have since moved on to an eGo, but I keep the nJoy as an emergency backup.

Ok, after a quick check, the cheaper ones from the mall are actually closer to 3 times as expensive as the ones you've linked to.

You guys are awesome and extremely helpful.

Another question though, what's the difference between using separate cartridges and atomizers, vs. using the single cartomizer? Does one last longer than the other, or give a better draw? Cartomizers seem to be slightly cheaper overall, assuming I was buying as many cartridges as I was atomizers, though I'm in doubt that this would be necessary. So which gives the better smoke?

i have the njoy npro express from 7-11 and it is completely compatible with rn 4081. the above posters are correct in that they have cartomizers at those websites. also you can refill the ones you get from njoy by gently rocking back and forth the plastic cylinder until it pops off...but be gently b/c you can bend the wires. once you slide the "...." off, you can drip juice on the filling (usually between 4 to 8 drops) and keep vaping on the same carto. I have made those 4$ cartos last almost 2 months doing it that way. i find the njoy cartos work better with the npro battery than other cartos, but i am still new so i dont know why. maybe they are a lower resistance? just a guess. they do produce great vapor and once you get rid of the included tobacco juice npro fills it with...they work great for other flavors like butterscotch and virginia flue-cured from wordup ecig.com. Best of luck to you! Happy vaping!

This is really a preference thing, although the majority might say cartomizers are better.

I think cartomizers taste like garbage and the cartridge plus atomizer is a better flavor. I also like the fact that cartridges and atomizers are easier to clean thoroughly where cartomizers are a pain to boil out, bake dry, and maybe they still have left over flavor in them.

In short, I prefer cartridges which I can tear down and refill with fresh foam every day combined with atomizers, which I can blow out/ clean every day vs cartomizers which seem to have old juices cling to the filling no matter what cleaning method I try.

YMMV, of course. This stuff is cheap enough for you to try both methods and see what you prefer. The parts are certainly cheaper than smoking.

Good luck!

ETA: I have a Number 7, which is essentially the Npro, just under a different brand name. I use it with the cartridge plus atomizer combo and have since October. While I primarily use a Riva510 at this point, the 4081 is a nice personal vaporizer for its size and I have no intentions of throwing it away.

I think cartos are easier to use, but I prefer an atty/cart or dripping, although I've never tried the RN4081 atty. It is supposed to be a good atty from what I've heard. The thing I don't like about cartos is the way they seem to gradually taper off on the vapor and flavor until it's time to refill where an atty with a good cart or dripping is more like an all or nothing proposition; it hits great until it doesn't.

I picked up a generic (?) RN4081 at a local tobacco shop (Mesquite TX) earlier in the week and have been using it religiously-- Just got off the analogs with it! The link you posted showed the box the refill cartomizers which I've been getting for it. I learned today that I can refill these things so I'm saving up my empties until I can get some "juice" to refill with and create my own flavor. The vapor's taste (both menthol and regular) is not really all that great but if I can make a custom flavor (and get my nic fix) this setup will be really AWESOME! My next mission is to find a tobacco shop in the area to buy juice mix so I don't have to sit around and wait for mail order to arrive.... One question I have bubbling around in my head right now is this--
My setup is with cartomizer cartridges.... Is it possible to get an atty/cart setup with my existing setup or is the battery threading incompatible?

I use the 4081 as my main favorite. don't know why, just love it to bits. Unfortunately sometimes finding stuff for it can be a bit tricky, however Az smokefree and Avid vapor carry the cartos. To me the best cartos are the BOGE.

OMG TY.. I've been looking for the 4081 Boge at a resistance between 2.5 and 3.0 for a 4081 battery.
Liberty flights carries the 2.0 4081 Boge, I would consider that LR, intended for a big batt.
Good Prophets usually only has 3.5 4081 cartos (not even sure if it a boge)
Sterling Vapor has 2.5
Ivape.net has 4081 cartos at 2.8 (I do not think they are Boge)

Personally I've been useing AZsmokefree
