Well vaping has changed my life in the health department, the ability to play more with my kids, my better half is much happier too, now I don't stink like an ashtray and she thinks I'm saving money!-)) it has brought me some new friends, and some hobbies(DIY, modding) and by helping others it gives me joy. I'm close to my 1 year without an analog and I couldn't be happier. I've had the joy of converting alot of family and friends and even some others!-) thanks for the contest and hope you liked my mini story!-))

Really near the mexican border.
I quit smoking for me, that's a given. I started vaping for my family. I knew I would never be able to quit without the oral fixation being taken care of. Vaping gave me my family back, my daughter now hugs me again, "because you don't stink, Myshell"
My wife likes to stay in bed with me now (because I don't snore near as badly as I used to) and my beloved pets don't smell like smoke all the time like they used. The fact that I haven't had a major asthma attack in nearly a year now, well that's the added bonus.

Well for me it was a choice both health and financial. Mostly for my health and the health of people around me. I wanted to quit for a long time and just couldn't quit cold turkey and i seen a e-cig at the smoke shop and decided to try it, well that didnt turn out well i went back to smoking for a lil while until i did some more research and ordered some quality products and I just quit the day I got my standard 510 kit. I remember being sick a lot, everything i did seemed harder to do than it is now. I hated smelling like an ashtray, and my husband actually did not want to be close to me because he was a non smoker and it bothered him and his allergies. So now, i can smell, i can taste and smell things better, my weight and health has improved 10 fold, I have not been sick in a year other than some food not agreeing with me, and iv helped my mother who is suffering from COPD and was on the road to emphysema, to convert. SO I am really happy about that and her health has improved. And anyone else that has asked me about information I always refer them to the forum and if I have business cards I will give those to, but I am more than willing to sit and talk to someone about it, changing someones life can be a great gift.

I feel better. Quitting smoking was always a pipe dream, because nothing worked. Vaping worked so easily, the first 2 months I was simply stunned! I smell better. I have not saved a cent, but I will - on doctor bills, if nothing else! I have made some really great friends. Have I mentioned that I feel better? Because more than anything else, that's what vaping means to me. Oh, and yesterday at the airport pick-up area, I stood under a "No Smoking" sign, vaping my nic level up to normal straight acrossed from a cop in a car and he waved. Fellow vaper? IDK, but it made me laugh. Vaping and the vaping people make me laugh quite often- and cigarettes never did!

Vaping has changed my life in that I can sit at my desk and vape all day without that terrible jonesing to go outside for a smoke in the obnoxious humidity we have here in the Carolinas.

A far more important way it has changed my life:

My younger sister has had a really hard life, started doing hard, needle injected drugs when she was thirteen. It's a very long, sordid story but in the ensuing years and for most of our adult lives, her myriad problems with drugs and run-ins with the law caused much grief not only for herself, but for her children and the rest of our family. She started turning her life around about 10 years ago, but still we were a fractured family. I don't even remember why it happened, but she came to visit me one evening in April (very rare as I had kept a safe distance from her in the interest of self-preservation) and she happened to show me her e-cig and announced she had quit smoking by vaping and her emphysema had greatly improved. She has been disabled for a couple of years now from ankylosing spondilitis and the havoc the drugs wreaked on her body, and her home health aide introduced her to the e-cig. My sister gave me an extra battery and charger and since then we get together at least once a week (usually because she has run out of juice and I gotta help her through ). It has been a much-needed bonding experience with my sister. She is in her late 40s and I'm in my early 50s, and I am optimistic that the wounds of the past are beginning to heal and our family is coming together again. She is now expecting her first grandchild, and we are hopeful that she will have many years ahead to enjoy this new addition to the family.

Wow, thanks for sharing this one. Its really touching, sometimes its amazing to see what a little thing like vaping can impact in ones life. Congratulations on reconnecting with lost family, and finding such a great community to share it with :D

The e-cig has changed the life of me and several of my family members by getting them to do the unthinkable.....quit cigarettes!!! My family has many heavy longtime smokers in it and the fact that some of them have switched over is amazing. There are just SO many benefits to vaping instead of smoking, and I get reminded of them regularly!

NO tars and other chemicals that cigarettes have!!
NO second-hand smoke
NO stench
NO having to go outside in the worst weather just to get your nic
LESS $$$$ spent!
NO more paying the tobacco companies to kill us!!!

Plus.....there is a level of fun to it....so many different kinds and colors you can purchase...so many different flavors you can try and love....

But the main thing is the improvement to your health, not inhaling all that tar and muck!!! Back to a healthier you when u didn't smoke and breathing easier!

(It also keeps my boyfriend happy, he can't stand the cigs - what it does to my health, the smell, or being anywhere near it to get it second-hand).

There are just so many reasons to be grateful there are e-cigs today...

I am a 25 year, 1 to 1 1/2 pack a day smoker. I have wanted to quit smoking for over a decade but just couldn't bring myself to try. My wife also smoked for 25 years, 1 1/2 to 2 packs per day.

In July of 2008 we lost her mother to Cancer. It appeared to have started in the Kidneys or Bladder and had metastasized. The Doctors had been doing tests on her for Kidney Failure and a Tumor for 2 1/2 months but did not discover the Cancer until they opened her up to remove the Kidney Stint and Tumor and it was everywhere. One of the younger Doctors came into her room the day after the discovery and put his head in her lap and wept She told him, "you did everything you could, please do not let this harden your heart because your compassion is so good for your patients." This Cancer was most assuredly caused by over 40 years of smoking and from the date of diagnosis to death was just 3 weeks. It was a heartbreaking experience.

Then in August, just 48 days later we lost my father to a Heart Attack. In August of 2009 we lost her Uncle to Kidney failure and in November of 2009 we lost my Uncle to Prostate Cancer. These were all people in their early 60's. Too young to die, in my opinion.

All the deaths we went through in less than 1 1/2 years made me realize if we didn't stop smoking I would definitely loose my wife sooner rather than later or she would loose me. We both got full physical and have started to live healthier lifestyles and March 12th of this year we picked up our Ecigs and put down the cigarette packs for good!

We can:
Breathe better
Live longer
Exercise more
Go out with family or friends and not have to excuse ourselves to smoke
Sit in the house with 89 year old Grandma (who we moved in with to care for after Mother in Law passed) and not bother her with our smoky clothes
Go to Disneyland and stealth Vape instead of walk to a smoking area
Vape at work instead of take breaks to smoke
Walk the dog more often and for longer
Vape lots of delicious flavors
Get non smoking hotel rooms
Waive goodbye to our Smokers' Coughs
Proudly say we are Non Smokers
Preach the good news to Smokers and help them start Vaping

But most important, we can love and be with each other longer!

I am 55yrs old and this year adopted my 5yr old grandson and am raising him. I was smoking a pack a day and knew I needed to get off them. In July I entered a contest and and won a South Beach Smoke setup(which I still use now, gave others I won to my children to get them off analogs). I met Spacekittey and she hooked me on the forum here and the rest is history! In above picture I am a volunteer ham operator at one of the largest sanctioned 100 mile bicycle races in the USA! I now have the energy to keep up with my new "son" and that is wonderful!!! The race was three weeks
after I gave up analogs! I could do more and enjoyed it alot more! My family is very happy now!!
