HELLO ALL: my buddy Taras from Electronic-Ash was asking me today which cartos we use. i told him that we were varied. he asked me to ask all of you because he is going to start stocking them. i mentioned Karen's carto extravaganza and the price that we got them for. he said something about an extreme discount for us that would rival the price Karen got before, without having to wait for a shipment from China. He mentioned something about a "special" coupon code for my Rochester buddies. he was also interested in finding out which brand we preferred. i said Boge. so, stand and be counted. i need brand and ohm resistance from everybody. he said that he would be very happy to get whatever we prefer. thanks ya'll

still hanging in there, thank you... i think my buddy Dan and i are ordering our Pro Varis tomorrow though. the quest for perfection continues...

Nice, Joe is loving his. I tried the provari and darwin both out but end up vaping at about what the quarter mods run at... so I don't see much sense in me getting one.

...that's the one thing that i'm a little bit afraid of. but maybe 4.2V is way better than 3.7V for me. who knows? that's the thought that moves me. what is perfect for me? that's why i called it a "quest". watch... i'll find my voltage and then turn into "questing juice maker"....LOL insanity is behind the wheel and the crazy bus is picking up passengers!!!

The beauty of variable voltage is that any range of carto will work... But with that said, I still prefer high resistance above 3.2 ohms, and for me, 4.5 is even better... I use 3.2 ohm at 4.2 volts and 4.5 ohm at 5.2-5.5 volts.

You would have loved the 5v red rocket if you had gotten your hands on some 4.5 ohm cartos!

4.2 is what the quarter mods generally hit at when the batteries are fresh off the charger :) And the short bus is always welcome to stop here when it's in the neighborhood lol

So, it would seem my using a 2 ohm carto at about 8 volts isn't the norm...

With the batteries you're using, it's about 5.8-6.2 volts at full charge under load. It's only at full charge for a few minutes with those cells, so on average you're at 5.2-5.7 under load... No where's near the 8 volt range. Also, because the current is limited to well under an amp it falls shy once the current limit is hit.

But 2 ohms on a real 8v would be a really silly in that you would be vaping at 32 watts, and pulling down 4 amps of current... A 4000 mAh battery would last an hour... How fun!
