So I got a kayfun clone the other day and was really enjoying it. Guy at the store had built it to 1.7 for me and it was good. Tonight it burned really gross and I decided to rebuild it following a RIP Trippers video on a basic micro coil. I built a beautiful perfect 1.3 ohm coil just like in the video. I was so happy. Took about ten amazing cloudy lung hits with a 3mg apple lemonade ejuice. About 20 min later I got so sick I threw up all my dinner... Haha! I haven't done that since like 9 years ago one time when I smoked way way too much green. I think I'll be laying off the vape a few days now!

It is a flawless looking coil... correctly directionally wound, clocked and (appears to be) gapped for best effect on a KF. If that is your very first working coil, good job Kat... well done.

Just to clear up a possible confusion here... unless they are damaged, Kanthal coils in RTAs can be dry burned and used for weeks - months at a time. Assuming you know this... I'd guess you were excited to build your first coil, now that you had an example to look at, and/or possibly wanted a slightly lower resistance.

I recall when I was building my first coils, I built several a day... just for the practice and to see the result. ;-)

Have fun!

I can't wait to get mine and try this. I wouldn't mind that happening to me if I can build a coil as nice looking as yours. All jokes aside, I have read where people said they were getting so much they had to go down on their nic. It sounds like that might be what you need to try. Good info and I appreciate you posting this to help others. That is what is so wonderful about ecf.
