I want try to DIY some Root Beer juice. I know the flavoring I'm looking for, I'm just not sure who sells it and I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. It has to be common because I've had the exact same juice from multiple vendors.

The flavoring is crystal clear, e-liquid made with it ages to light pink instead of yellow, and it tastes just like root beer barrel candies. Can anybody tell me who produces this flavoring?

Thanks in advance if you can help.

I know Capella Flavors sells a very clear root beer (float) flavor. I just mixed some the other day with a touch of sweetener. While mixing it in a syringe with the plunger off, it had a very slight pink tinge compared to the VG that I poured it onto.

Not sure if it's the one that you knew, though. I haven't used it before, so it's only 2 days old.

I tried some immediately, and it tastes like root beer. :)

I love the root beer from TPA. It does exactly what your talking about. Starts clear, and turns pink after a week. You need to let it steep for a week for best flavor. For me tastes like barqs root beer.. 'it got bite'.. and yes It does taste like those candies too.

Perfumers Apprentice - Root Beer Flavor

BTW, it is a strong flavor, I only mix at around 8% .. and still strong for me..

Knowing which vendors you are getting the juice from would probably help narrow down the choices.

Yeah, I hesitated to mention them because their Root Beers are highly rated (and exactly the same) and, being a huge fan of both, I hate to spoil their hard earned customer bases. But, you know, eff it, for the sake of openness I get my Root Beer juice from Backwoods Brew and Madvapes (besides, the flavoring is probably cheaper from Madvapes than straight from the source since that's what they do - move mass quantities at good prices). The only difference I can tell between the two is that you pay $16.50 for 30ml from BWB and $12 for 50ml from Madvapes. Madvapes does sell the flavoring for less than $2/10ml, but I want to know where it comes from since if for some reason I ever didn't have it (state ban or something) I would want a back up DIY source because vaping anything else for long and all I would do is sit there and crave this instead.

It's the perfect juice for me: it's simple (obviously only one flavoring) and clean (flavor is clear), my cartos last longer with this juice than any other I've tried (literally hundreds over the years), the flavor is complex enough to stay interesting (even though there's conveniently only one flavor ingredient), the TH is perfect for me even at 6mg (a lung TH instead of a throat TH, but not irritating like other some that flare up my latent asthma), and I just plain can't think of a juice that hit this many right notes for me. I NEVER thought I'd be a one flavor vaper...and now I am, mostly.

And it doesn't hurt that I'm a Root Beer fanatic/connoisseur anyway, so I had a predisposition to like it if it really tasted like Root Beer...and it does.

That has got to be it! You're description is spot on. I order like 300ml at a time of pre-made juice so I figured it's time to try DIY. You are awesome, I'm so addicted to this stuff that I'm on one of those got-my-hopes-up-highs right now. Thank you thank you thank you. If I could, I'd "like" your post about 100 times. Looks like the flavoring from Madvapes might be cheaper if its the same concentration, but I'm really glad to know the source and have a back up.

Quick note for the education of anyone reading this thread. Loranne's is the worst "root beer" flavoring ever made, it's black as night, and it will destroy a cartomizer within 1ml worth of juice. Just so you know.

Not from TPA Uzza

Well that's from the source. I've always kind of wondered at what a problem it would be if BWB ever quit making their stuff and the answer has always been: Big Problem. If there were ever a set of recipes I'd like to get my grubby little hands on...

And I don't even like to DIY, too lazy, I'm just paranoid that I may need to be able to someday so I need to find a satisfactory DIY solution...
