Rose V2 Down But Hopefully Not Out

Yesterday my Rose V2 fell from my inside pocket onto the floor of a suburban Chicago bar. Not sure how it jumped out but all I could do was helplessly watch in slow motion as my beautiful Rose V2 and it's attached kicked 18650 Nemesis clone plummeted in a death spiral toward a filthy concrete floor. I wanted to save her but while holding a beer in one hand and an Italian beef (with mozzarella and green peppers) in the other I was unable to do so. Upon hearing it make contact with the concrete I knew something broke. You know that dull sound metal makes when it fractures on impact as opposed to the "Yes I survived" Ping noise. Maybe you don't, anyway as I stared in horror at my $200.00 plus atty afraid to assess the already visible damage my friends were quick to offer up support "Nice job phuc nuts!" said one as he relieved me of my Italian beef (and began eating it) so I could pick up my wounded girl.

I've attached a few forensic photos that illustrates the damage. I've contacted the supplier ( Big Buddha Vapors) hoping they can be able to supply me with a replacement part at my expense.

But if they are unable to I was hoping that anyone out there can suggest a repair. The material is 316 S.S. Not sure if JB Weld is the way to go on this. The fracture happened in the concave portion of the threading so it would have to be done from the outside. This would render the air control inoperable which is fine with me since I vape on it wide open anyway. The part can be compressed back into it's pre assaulted state which would enable some sort of fix to be applied. I know working with non ferrous metal in this state can be a nightmare so I'm not expecting the best and may have to put her down.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well Big Buddha told me they can't help and to contact Eden mods which of course has no contact info on their site. They are an active poster on UKVapers.org. I signed up earlier today but have yet to be approved for membership. Maybe because I'm not from the UK?

I went ahead and compressed the broken part with a clamp and applied JB Weld, the liquid duct tape of the hack fix it world. I'll let it set for 24 hours or so. Crossing my fingers.

Both my Rose 2's and I send condolences for your tragic injury inflicted upon their sister. But, I must say, .... What the frak were you thinking???????? Rose or a beer and sandwich?? That's a big no brainer here, drop what ever the frak was in my hands and dive for the Rose. Oh, the pain I feel just thinking about it.

Join the Eden Mods Group of FB, both Andy and Lee post almost daily on that site, perhaps they can get you parts, since they make the Rose.

Can't really tell the damage that well by your pics, but possibly a trip to the local machine shop may put Rose on the mends.

I don't suppose that was a $100 beer and $120 sandwich you refused to sacrifice for one of the Rose2?

Dice, believe it or not I am filled with shame. My beautiful lady depended on me to protect and care for her in exchange for non stop vaping bliss. Now, as sobriety (I was quite hammered when this happened) set in it brought with it the reality of my crime, of my neglect and slow reaction time. I'm filled with "what ifs" and "should haves". I am reminded of this everytime I look down at her, laying in pieces on my work desk, her drip tip frozen in the moment of the fall as if screaming "NOOOOOOOO"!

As for the beef and the beer, dropping them on the boots of the 3 other bikers I was standing in tight quarters with at the time would have resulted in me having to fight my way out yet another bar. Would it have been worth it? JB Weld will decide that.

We appreciate your prayers for a speedy recovery. My Russian 91 percent is a sturdy stand in but by no means even close to giving me the same vape as my beloved Rose V2 by Eden Mods.

By the way I did find Eden's FB page. I put in a request for acceptance last night under the name Herman Von Blutfurz (if you are reading this Eden Mods say yes to Herman!!)

Yeah, they did just come out with a Version 2, has a metal carabineer clip, and a pocket for juice bottle for drippers on the go. I have two of the one I posted, works great for sporting 2 lightsabers mods.
