Most people discourage Regulated for subbing, but w/e.
Have no idea where you read that people discourage running a low sub ohm on an unregulated mod. A regulated mod is perfect for low sub ohms.

If you are using a mech mod a single 18650 battery (at its highest) is rated 30A CDR. You can't run a .19Ω build on a single 30A battery without exceeding the CDR of the battery.

This thing is a beast. Currently got a quad setup at .19ohm with 28awg Kanthol. Crushing clouds with my Smoke X Cube 2 at 125w(warm)-160w(hot). Most people discourage Regulated for subbing, but w/e. Still Chucking Gaints.

Glad you're cool with using a reg mod for subbing but I was curious...why are others saying regulated mods aren't good for low ohm builds? I think they're the better choice as they have some protection versus a mech mod. With low ohm builds you don't have much of a line between a hot battery and a venting/bursting one.

Protection is exactly why I'm using a reg. Quite a few of long time vapers dislike them, the claim it's "cheating".

Anyways, @Susan~S I stated "Most discurage using regulated."

I don't think anyone discourages the use of regulated mods for sub-ohmming... there are those of us who are pretty much mech mod purists that love our mechs. We prefer them. We're used to them, and they comfort us like Linus' security blanket... but we know that regulated mods are the safer choice. I, for one, recommend the use of regulated mods to new vapers... all while vaping with a mech in my hand.

That's the beauty of a high wattage regulated mod. You have the protection if you choose to build a little lower but in fact you'd wanna "roll" a little higher use a bigger ID, create more surface area and so .3-.4 ohm builds can give you a phenomenal vape........all you gotta do is crank the wattage up. With mechs to get the same or similar wattage you have to build lower.

Exactly! My regulated mod is currently running with dual coils at 0.5 ohms. Even 30W is a decent vape there, but I can go all the way up to 50 with no problems. To get the same vape with my mechs I tend to run closer to 0.2 ohms... regulated mods give you more flexibility and less risk. But I'm stubborn and do still prefer my mechs... :pervy:
