Is this the right material to use in making a top cap reducer for an RSST? The temp seems to be too low?

Raw Materials > Plastics > Plastic Rod Stock
DELRIN Rod, Acetal, 150, Wht, 7/8 In Dia x 1 Ft L

Rod Stock, 150, Acetal Homopolymer, White Color, Diameter 7/8 In, Length 1 Ft, Diameter Tolerance +0.003/-0.000 In, Length Tolerance +0.125/-0.000 In, Min Temp Rating 32 Deg F, Max Temp 180 F, Tensile Strength 11, 000 PSI

I think you'll be fine at that temp, if you can touch the top cap without burning yourself, the internal temp at the top cap is probably sub-180f. You're not having it in direct contact with the coils, after all, and air's a poor temp conductor.

That said, check mcmaster-carr, they have rod stock in a ridiculous qty of materials, many specced for higher temps.

If you're worried, I'd install the delrin piece, and dry-fire (to get hotter-than-norm temps w/o the cooling effect of the fluid), and check the delrin for damage. If it survives unscathed after the point when the top cap of your rsst gets uncomfortably hot, I'd consider it safe.
