I have seen with some searching that some are using silica or cotten in place of ss mesh. Just looking at options if I get one and don't like the ss. What's down side of silica in a geni style rba?
Right on. Thanks guys, really want to try out a RBA, the RSST looks like the way to go. If I don't get the hang of or don't like the ss mesh, I now know it will not be useless![]()
Hey u know lots of people claim dripping is were the flavor is at and what do you use to build a coil on a dripper? Silica right so why wouldn't it work on a genny? Just set up a coil the way you would a dripper and run a tail in the tank hole and you have sort of a bottom fed driper or do what i do set your genny up like you would with ss mesh and slide the right size Silica wick in instead. Easy breasy beautiful. . . cover girl.
Ss though does bring out the flavor of sweets and fruits though a lot more than Silica.
Hey i run 3mm silica in all my gennys when i use creamy or dark heavy flavors. Fruit flavors i use ss mesh
right now i got mbv strawberry short cake 50/50 in my agi natural hybrid steaming like a frieght train.
A simple 5/4 wrap around a 4-40 machine screw and slid the 3mm silica single strand through leave 1/4 in sticking up over the coil and extra in the tank. The extra in the tank is so i can pull the wick up and trim off the burnt and worn out part with clippers when nessasary and keep vaping away. Very easy. When you burn it by acsident just pull up and trim it off

also the rsst has a huge wick hole that is insulated so you can run doubled up 2mm if you wanted. The rsst is an awsome atty. It would be perfect if someone could come up with an easy mod for a glass tank.
Does the silica pull the juice up or do you still have to tilt it every so often?
