Look I am not in the business of defending a competitor but I would need to see a professional nicotine test if I were a juror on a jury before condemning or convicting his company. He has been in business for years and not poisoned anyone. Before we started selling nicotine I used to buy from him. We believe our nicotine is superior to his but we are concerned he may be on vacation and not able to respond. We honestly do not believe you can use that $16 E-bay homemade test to destroy him. Why? It is not scientific enough and it just is not fair, we would not want to be put in the same situation. We are not saying he is "not guilty" of the claims but we think the response needs to be thought out, logical, scientific and reasonable before hanging him.
I am 54 years old and was a heavy smoker for 38 years. I have had a few accidents with pure liquid nicotine and lived through it with no side effects. Just don't get it on your mucous membranes. Yes 1000 mg and 100 mg is poison and can kill a child who never smoked or vaped before on contact. However, it is not like cyanide like some people portray it or I would be dead. 100 mg nicotine splashed on my hands does not even phase me. I just wipe it off and then wash my hands. God forbid I will probably regret saying that.
Edit: For reference, I vape 30 ml per week of 24 mg.
Of course nobody should intentionally smear a company, or test a product and conduct a review unless they have been thorough, and of course they are being honest. Having said that, I don't think the dollar value of testing supplies, or if you get it on ebay determines whether or not its reliable.
You can get a pregnancy test for well under 16 bucks, and you can find them on ebay. If I remember right they are about 99% accurate, could a woman get more accurate test results by going to a specialized doctor? Probably, but that doesn't make self testers unreliable if they are used as instructed.
If that comparison is too wild, I can tell you why I think the test I bought will be accurate enough to be useful. When I found out about this test I found my way to Dvap's forum here....

Remember that accurate within 10% figure I gave? You can read about that figure in that forum, and he seems to be pretty well regarded around here. He laid out basically two different procedures on testing, large scale and small scale testing. The margin for error is higher on the test I'll be doing "10% or less", but that's because the sample size of nicotine that I'll be using will be less than the larger scale test laid out by Dvap.
Otherwise the test is identical, the same acid and blue will be used, with the same basic procedure. So this ebay test being sold is not different, the person that is selling it is just selling the kit with smaller bottles of acid and blue to cut down cost. Many people have done this type of test within the last couple years and I think its a stretch to say these test are a "freeken joke".
At any rate, being that the test does have the potential for a 10% margin for error, my method would be..... not to start counting the nicotine content as being high or low, unless it was 10% or more high or low. If a 100mg liquid tested out to be 90mg, it wouldn't concern me considering the sample sizes I'm going to be testing. However if it tested out to be 50mg or 150mg, id be concerned. That's where this test will be useful, although it will not give me an exact measurement, it will still be a way to know if im getting what I pay for. In other words I think its going to be accurate enough for my purposes, and if I ever posted results id mention the margin for error BTW.
Only bad thing about this is that I wouldn't be surprised in the least if American made RTS liquids tested very close to their stated MG content using this test. DRvap was testing Chinese liquids that he said he was shocked to find came out to be very close to their stated MG levels. but as I said I won't post the results in this forum to respect your wishes.
