We have been slowly gathering data for months on expanding, We were first waiting to make it through 2011 corporate tax filing before investing more in the business but we decided to take the risk in product expansion before a competitor snatches up all our loyal customers,
We ordered a few thousand dollars of syringes and various needles today. We feel we made a good buy for our customers and us. They are American made and we should be competitive with MadVapes which we think is the most competitive company out there on a lot of items.
Please remember our business stresses American made theme even if it cuts into our margin.
Presently we are negotiating quality lab glassware such as graduated cylinders, beakers, glass mixing rods and small Erlenmeyer flasks with an American Company out of Indiana. Not sure how this negotiation will go they seem pretty inflexible but their prices are reasonable for those that know the difference between plastic and class "B" borosilicate grade glassware which is highly resistant to chemical attacks, breakage and can withstand the extremely high temperatures of autoclaving (boiling) and repeated sterilizations/pasteurizations with measurement marks maintaining their accuracy. What that means is buy one and it lasts a lifetime unless you drop it on your concrete floor.
Still have not figured out how to offer a 15 ml plastic drip tip bottle for $0.36 each to you guys and gals. Even ordering 10,000 from China with freight our cost is $0.41 each. Guess we have not found the right Chinese company or perhaps we need to look towards India.
I really don't like going offshore,
We have found a couple American glass bottle manufacturers for the flavorings. Leaning toward 2 dram small bottle and 30 ml large bottle for concentrated flavoring.Once we work it out we will sell Flavor Apprentice concentrated flavorings at their normal price but here you would get our 6% MyRewards program plus get a free ride on shipping since most of our customers flat rate boxes have a lot of unused space in them.
Ok, I rambled on to much. Take care all.
PS Did I ever tell you all I really do not like going offshore to buy product?
