I currently use the "other" FA, but I'm just getting started in DIY, so not really settled in on a brand yet. So if RTS is going to carry Flavor Apprentice, I will definately be trying these. All the ones I currently use are listed above, and would like to see 10 ml bottles, as they seem to last quite a while. I think this is a win, win. It's a natural combination, and we all look for one place to get everything.

We have not ruled out the others like FlavourArt. As a matter of fact we are jumping through hoops trying to get this darn European Union Tax Exemption Certificate that FlavourArt requires to avoid the 18% Italian VAT. We think Flavor Apprentice offers reasonably good quality for a better price for us and our customers. Eventually, we plan to add other flavor manufacturers but only stock their unique and popular flavors.

Is there any issue about delivering to a po box? I have had some companies that say they can only deliver to a mailbox and unfortunately due to a stupid rule I can't get mail delivered to my home thanks to a 2 inch deep creek that they would have to cross. Sigh

No. PO Box in USA ok.

We have been slowly gathering data for months on expanding, We were first waiting to make it through 2011 corporate tax filing before investing more in the business but we decided to take the risk in product expansion before a competitor snatches up all our loyal customers,

We ordered a few thousand dollars of syringes and various needles today. We feel we made a good buy for our customers and us. They are American made and we should be competitive with MadVapes which we think is the most competitive company out there on a lot of items.

Please remember our business stresses American made theme even if it cuts into our margin.

Presently we are negotiating quality lab glassware such as graduated cylinders, beakers, glass mixing rods and small Erlenmeyer flasks with an American Company out of Indiana. Not sure how this negotiation will go they seem pretty inflexible but their prices are reasonable for those that know the difference between plastic and class "B" borosilicate grade glassware which is highly resistant to chemical attacks, breakage and can withstand the extremely high temperatures of autoclaving (boiling) and repeated sterilizations/pasteurizations with measurement marks maintaining their accuracy. What that means is buy one and it lasts a lifetime unless you drop it on your concrete floor.

Still have not figured out how to offer a 15 ml plastic drip tip bottle for $0.36 each to you guys and gals. Even ordering 10,000 from China with freight our cost is $0.41 each. Guess we have not found the right Chinese company or perhaps we need to look towards India. I really don't like going offshore,

We have found a couple American glass bottle manufacturers for the flavorings. Leaning toward 2 dram small bottle and 30 ml large bottle for concentrated flavoring.Once we work it out we will sell Flavor Apprentice concentrated flavorings at their normal price but here you would get our 6% MyRewards program plus get a free ride on shipping since most of our customers flat rate boxes have a lot of unused space in them.

Ok, I rambled on to much. Take care all.

PS Did I ever tell you all I really do not like going offshore to buy product?

Nice to hear your expanding, have you ever considered selling empty graduated bottles to help DIYers? Ive been looking around for these in 20 or 30 ML sizes but can't find them anywhere. Not that they're 100% necessary but Id buy the hell out of those. :)

For the premixed Id buy bottles between 10 and 30ML.

Sounding good Randy. I like the idea of buying American. China stuff is a good price, but, you are never really sure just what you are getting, and the quality, and consistency just isn't there.
I've been wanting to get a couple graduated cylinders as, it seems like it would be easier measuring out amounts of nic, pg, ect., from a large bottle, rather than trying to syringe it out, especially as the level of liquid gets further down in the bottle, and the syringe won't reach it. I guess you could transfer to a smaller bottle, but pouring it into a graduated cylinder seems easier. Also getting a small funnel would be nice also.
Keep up the good work RTS. :thumb:

We appreciate that you try to offer product from here but most of should know thats almost impossible anymore.
I would be willing to pay alil more knowing im getting a good product, and that I dont HAVE to buy 1000 to get close to that price and saving more on shipping since I can get them with the Juice I know im ordering anyways. I'm looking for glass 10ml - 1oz and plastic in 5, 10 and 30ml ....... for now. I already picked up some lab glass but its alil hard readily finding the sizes we need.

all in all I feel you can make your margin and offer competitive prices when you look at the overall cost of sourcing these things from numerous places, not to mention the time and headaches from searching it all out :grr:

Thanks Randy :vapor:

I think that I have heard you mention that fact and is one of the many things that keep me coming back for more :). I will support US any time that I get a chance to. If all Americans will take the same vow then I really think that we can make a difference in our own economy supporting our own people. Thanks for that Randy.

Yes, I have bought from US Plastics back in February and was very happy. However, back in February the UPS freight was like 15% of product order amount. Still ok. Now they charge 50% for freight and $35 for lift gate which in many cases is like adding 85% to order amount for shipping which is <>&*%(.
