Ruined tank?

Try an isopropyl soak or run it through a couple of cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner.
You could try filling the tank with some strong flavor that you really like and going back in 3 days and trying the tank again for flavor.
I've heard pure-grain alcohol (pga) or vodka soaks may do the trick, I'm about to look into it myself as I have a coil head that smells like menthol I'd like to get rid of.

some flavors seem to stay in a tank and you just cant et rid of them but masking them with another flavor sometimes will work.
I've never had this problem. Is it a really dark juice? I've had it with that, but still got rid of the taste with lots of hot water. Coils are a different story, a strong flavor is nearly impossible to get from a coil. Usually a new flavor will overtake it after a ml or so.
Unfortunately it's my only sub ohm tank that I have. All my other tanks don't wick high vg well. And I just found out I have a pg allergie. The taste is finally going away. Filled it with cinnamon Danish swirl and its masking it.
That must have been one nasty juice. I've had luck breaking down the tank and putting it in a bowl and just let hot water run across it for 20 minutes. Get it broken down as far as your are comfortable with to rinse all those nooks and crannies
Grain alcohol such as everclear has a good chance as does a high % Iso Alcohol. Let soak overnight if possible. I think regular vodka is probably too weak.
I just put another strong juice in and puff until it goes away. Sometimes it's rough tasting especially mixed with another flavor but eventually it goes away.
I know what you mean by vaping potpourri----I've had some juices that tasted like that too--hahahahah----just keep the bottle as part of your juice collection

Could be worse, a friend and I got one that tasted like puke. She tried it and thought it was just her taste and sent it to me. It wasn't her taste, it was puke
Haha. One of my friends when he comes over likes to fill one of his tank off of my better juice supply. I'm hoping this one may be a "good" one to have him try.
Oh I made a juice one time that was down right nasty. Not 100% my fault. I was sent a wrong flavor concentrate about 100mls of the stuff. Smelled it and was like oh sooo wrong. Company never owned up, After being stuck with it figured why not try it to see what it was like.... MISTAKE!!! I almost tossed my groceries after the first pull. I think it took a week to get rid of that taste from that tank.

Unless it is a plastic tank I don't see how it would keep flavors all that long except for in the wick. Glass doesn't hold flavor and neither does stainless really. I'd go over it again and clean every little piece, make sure it smells fresh and clean before you put it back together and fill it.
