Run DROP tank with 1 coil?

Are there any issues with using a DROP tank with just 1 coil (vs dual coils)?

I would try to run it with a larger coil, since it has so much airflow. Other than that, it shouldn't be a problem.

I don’t have one but I don’t see why there would be as long as you make sure the coil is wide diameter.

It looks like it will take some really large single coils too. Here’s a video I found of someone who built a monster single coil on it

Does it not feel too airy ? That small of a coil with so much air seems like it'll get bad flavor no ?

I don't see why you couldn't? Although I will say for the most part (at least if you are me) a single coil isn't always the greatest option in a dual atomizer (one reason I often use single coil only) but I guess if you made the coil robust enough you might be able to.

Any reason why you want to in particular?

I've had the Drop tank for months, unused (my mods could only handle 22mm diameter). Now that I have a Squeeze 2- I wanted to try it out- with my typical single coil build build before i start fooling around with 2 coil builds.

try threading a single coil putting the legs upwards through the posts instead of down into them. you'll be able to set it lower and cut off the top air flow holes on the cap.

I'm still on my first build in the Drop. I went for duals but I think adult beverages were involved. Ended up as a single coil at 3.5mm by the looks of it, using 28g SS, came to .9ohms. Hits great at 14- 15W with 3 tiny airholes open.

It is getting a bit gunky and will get changed soon. All this to say Go For It with a single.

I did get the coil to peek over the posts by 1/4 of the diameter. I went in from the top and folded the coil in between. I'm sure this build is not Pro vaper approved but it seemed like an OK way to start on this RDA, with lots of room for improvement.

That's the way I would do it - seems like the simplest method. Just plug the coil in from the top and bend it over between the posts. Much easier than trying to thread the coil legs up from underneath, as shown in the video. I like easy.

Might not look as awe inspiring as the video coil (especially without the epic soundtrack), but should vape the same.
