Ruyan is the only company that I'm aware of that has tried to comply -- with trials, tests and careful attention to a country's rules. Many of us wondered when they would pounce. They did take on E-Cig in China -- and each company claimed victory. The njoy patent flap, I don't believe, has been settled. We can expect many more such patent infringement suits.

We had posts wondering about this. Originator Ruyan will go after the copycats. Njoy is already being sued.

This was posted in another thread today:

Seem to have some nice words about the FDA. Plus, if they are protecting their patents in the US they must see something in the future worth protecting. In other words, maybe Ruyan is having back-room talks with the FDA :)

Or maybe they are waiting for BP or BT to make them an offer. :|

Phony posturing in attempt to fool investors into believing theirs is the only product with legitimacy. Ruyan had their chance to proove their metal when Njoy brought them to court over allegations that Ruyan had informed a US casino that their product was "a black market copy". As true as this might be, If the accusation had any merit Ruyan would have come out on top. They didn't. Remarkable that they are name-calling again.

Ruyan had previously claimed Cixi E-cig was ordered to destroy their inventory and cease trading. The truth was that one of Cixi E-cigs products (probably the bling clone) infringed on one of Ruyan's patents. They stopped producing it and carried on business as usual.

I admire Ruyan's dedication to testing and safety. I just wish they'd sell their liquid in large bottles. I'd buy 'em up. Their business sense is sadly lacking.

Okay, let me tell rest of it.
Ruyan owns both First Union(RN brand) and Sailebao(DSE brand) factories as well as Dekang. Sailebao gave up when Ruyan threatened to drag them to court. There is no need for suppliers to apply for FDA approval because, well, Ruyan's application will cover both of these brands and thus most of the e-cigs available. The Ruyan you have seen selling classy products is just a cover-up, they own the industry. And the patent in question is Patent Login . They of course want to get rid of every other e-cig manufacturer so they can claim their monopoly. Getting FDA to "ban" e-cigs surely suits them. Especially they dislike Loongtotem for coming up with a vastly superior atomizer design that does not conflict with their patents. On a side kick, Ruyan has started selling 42mg carts in China.

jigtg, that is the most astonishing revelation I have ever read in my entire time on this forum. Of course I would love to hear more and pick your brain and wonder as to how you managed to learn this information.

One query I have - I thought First Union made njoy products? Is this not the case? Kanger perhaps? How do they factor in all this? I was under the impression loong totem's patent was as phoney as they come. Why are they not barking up cixi e-cig and KR808d-1's tree and who makes that model anyway?

Is it true that Ruyan licenses the use of its patents to others like joye, who are then free to manufacture and brand products of their own?

thanks for the info!
