Hi and welcome. It won't hurt to start early, but it won't help much either. You ought to be able to prime a coil in 2-3 minutes. Time doesn't count, just get the wick soaked.
Excellent. Thank you for the quick reply. Also, any tips/tricks for the TFV4 or RX200 would be greatly appreciated. First post of many, hopefully soon enough I will be able to help and answer questions of others.

Tips for RX200: Do not charge the batteries with the MicroUSB, it doesn't balance charge properly. Just invest in another set of batteries and a good quality external charger, like the Luc V4 or Nitecore D4.

As far as TFV4 goes, start by priming the coils, you can leave them soaking in the bottle of liquid you have if you want to be sure, but usually just wetting the coils prior to installing the coil is enough, and possibly leaving the tank filled for about 15 minutes to let the liquid soak into the coil.

Just don't start firing at max wattage, but work your way up from let's say 20W and work your way slowly up until you get to the spot that fits your vaping style.

I currently have a Nitecore I4, hoping that is still sufficient. I ordered 3 LG HG2's and was going to just try those out and see if they last throughout my day and I can charge them at night. I don't plan to be doing heavy vaping, but if I like this setup as much as I think I am then I might be a vape freak. I will definitely order more batteries if that is the case.

With these TFV4 coils, they are premade I know. Other than setting the wattage low to start and then finding my sweet spot, will I have to worry about setting anything else or changing any settings on the RX200?

Thank you for the advice. I will be using it all once I get all of my equipment. I wish there was a store close to me with reasonable prices and I would already have it all. I feel like a kid on the night before xmas.

Yeah, Nitecore i4 is the charger I use daily myself, have to upgrade to a efest blu6 though, as my fiancee is getting the RX200 also in blue and I use loads of batteries myself also.

Having one setup you like to use isn't really concidered being a "vape freak" hahah. I have something close to a dozen I use daily or weekly, and going to be getting even more xD

Hope those tips help you out, maybe you might want to upgrade to a rebuildable tank someday, as the TFV4 doesn't have that good RBA deck/coilhead.

Be careful how much you prime the coils for the TFV4, especially the quad coil (my personal favorite), if you prime it too much you WILL get spitback, i'd say 2-3 drops is sufficent.

I don't have anything to offer about the TFV, I don't have one. On the RX200, aside from the charging issue, a topper with a too-long 510 connector-- I have read 4.6mm or greater but I don't know that-- can cause the machine to "lose" the atty. It will say "No Atomizer" despite it being right there on top, plain as day. You have to unscrew it and tighten it back down to get it to pick up again, which can be annoying. It doesn't do it with every tank, just some of them. Mine-- I have 2 RXs-- will do it with my Indulgence MT tank, and not with my Advken Ωega. The problem is the 510 connector is not as good as it might be. The connector can be replaced with a quality 510, like a Fat Daddy Vapes, for a few dollars with basic tools and some skill.Photos and a description of the process here. The HG2 batteries ought to last all day, and then some. Mine do.

I have the TFV4 on my RX200 right now using the triple coils. Love it. I vape around 55 to 60 watts with the triple. The factory dual Claptons are really nice as well. Not had an issue with this pairing. I usually get to vape over 100 ml of juice before the triple coils need replaced (sometimes way over the 100 ml). I would suggest going ahead and getting a second set of HG2's and you'll always have a full charge ready to go.

Glad that if I run into this problem I'll already have the answer. Thank you very much for the heads up and for the link

Thanks a lot. Looking forward to finding my sweet spot. All this talk about it makes me even more anxious

Your questions were answered quite elegantly but you better order more juice while you wait. Wont take long to burn up your juice supply. LOL

I have about 50-60ml on hand. And about 330ml on the way. I love hawk sauce from mtbakervapor. One of the only juices I've ever fully enjoyed as soon as I received it. Ordered a 236ml of the hawk

I have two TFV4 tanks and enjoy them very much. I only used one triple coil briefly, then I started using the RBA decks. They seem pretty easy to build on, once you get the wicking down.
I have no intentions of building my own coils in the near future. Will just be buying as I need them. I am hoping a shop around me sells singles so I can try more than just the triple and quad I get with my kit. I read excellent reviews about the dual Clapton, and also the quad. Have heard good and bad about the triple.

i use mainly the triple coil +- 75W but have a quad next in line.
dual coil rba is small but not bad at all(dont have the others)

this baby consumes a lot of juice you can see the juice go down every vape you take once it at the level of the coil. DIY juice keeps this affordable ;p

using so much juice also implies you are getting way more nic, i went from .7 to .4 nic for this tank.

maybe 1 more
when the coil starts to go off i take it out asap and put it in alcohol for a bit then wrap a small bit of paper towel and try to clean the coils
dont forget the blow out the rest of the alcohol

this usually gives me another week with the coil (depends a bit on the juices ive run)
