I think I just had a bottle of Ry4 go bad. I tried 2 different attys, both well broken in along with one brand new one which I cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before use, and I swear my Ry4 tastes like primer fluid, and produces almost no vapor? What really confirmed to me that it was the Ry4 that had gone bad was I took an atty with a mango flavor already in it that I had been vaping all day, ran that atty until it was just about dry, and then added the bad Ry4, and it was instantly horrible. It was my main vape for weeks up until just a few hours ago.

The juice itself is only about 5 weeks old. Has anyone else had this happen?

I haven't had that happen with ry4 but it has happened with other flavors.

I bought several small bottles from one of the vendors that people rave about. The juice was great when I first got it, then about a month later I went back to it and it was gross! All of the bottles had turned really dark colors.

Needless to say I won't order from that vendor again.

And yes, they were stored with all my juices. Kept in a dark cool spot.

I stored mine the same way when I wasn't actively using it. I have left the Ry4 bottle in a car, but it wasn't hot outside, and I had it in the shade inside the dash ~shrug~. The color of the liquid is slightly darker. It was very light to begin with though. This is a total shock to me.

Edit to add: There is one other factor that could be contributing to the issue. I have a mega atomizer that I threw on which has a tendency to leak, and I'm wondering if juice leaked down onto the battery. I'm afraid to test out that theory tonight. Smelling the Ry4 in the bottle it smells more harsh.

When flavorings go bad they can smell/taste like anything from Pinesol to vinegar to WD40 and so on. It sounds like that might be the case with your RY4. It won't make you sick... other than nauseated by the taste, but I would toss it. It won't get any better and nothing will bring it back. I have some Boston Cream Pie that smells exactly like it was made with vinegar! It was my first experience with flavorings gone bad so I researched it some.

I will say that my ry4 from FSUSA has gotten alot darker as it has aged and I still think it tastes great.

Kellogg's right. Many juices will darken as they age and that's to be expected. I think I've mentioned this about 20 times lately on the New Member Thread, but most of the fresh made juices will need time to steep before they get to their full flavor and will darken as this process takes place.

Funny you should say that, I had a 30ml bottle of FSUSA RY4 lose its flavor almost totally, its not actually bad - just almost flavorless. I've only had the bottle for a month - and it didnt have a very strong flavor when I got it, but over time the flavor has just faded out.
I just figured it was oxidation or UV light breaking down the complex compounds in the juice, the bottle sits next to my laptop and is exposed to room light, but not sunlight.

On the other hand the bottle of cappuccino smooth that I got with the order just keeps getting tastier and both bottles sit right next to each other

(shrug)
I dunno, I blame the gubmint :)

I've bought I would say thousands of Mls of juice in the two years I've been vaping. I don't think I've had one go bad that wasn't already bad to begin with. Maybe I';m lucky. I have had juice turn really dark. Most of these that turn are USA made juices. None of them that turned dark have lost any flavor. Some even get better. The thing that has changed the taste in some liquids was voltage. Some juices just don't do well with high voltage. This is IMO due to what the content of the juice is or rather the flavorings used. I've vaped some that were good under low volts and turn great on high. I have had some that were bad on high become very good on low. My suggestion is if you have different PV'S, experiment with them. As far as a juice going bad , it hasn't happened to me. Hope I stay lucky. That said, I just received a juice a few weeks ago that tastes like BABY POWDER, I swear I let it sit for almost two weeks and It still tastes like diaper dust. That was the first time in several years that I can't vape a juice I bought. Maybe my luck is changing!!!

Interesting thread. Just a random thought: I wonder if, sometimes, we either get

1) Bad "mix" of flavors and they degrade over time - vendor's fault. I hear some flavors don't play well with others.....
2) WE CONTAMINATE the juice, like for example, using a pipette that had another flavor nic juice, chemicals mix, it degrades.
