A lot of juices with a creamy flavor have that cardboard taste to me when they're really fresh. Letting them steep fixes it for me.
Take off the cap, and the dropper, and leave the bottle open (away from little hands and paws!) to steep for a day or so. Re-cap, give it a good shake, and try it then. It may be steeped enough (I find RY4 is usually good to go after just a day or two of steeping, but some people disagree), or it may need a little longer. Some juices take a week or two to steep.

Well I have the cap off and it is sitting in the closet...it is a 120ml bottle, I am trusting that it will get better...but right now, only time will tell ....I have RY4 from another vendor and it is great, this didn't smell nor taste at all anything like that one or others I have had
I just got my first order of Ry4 ever today from FSUSA...5ml in 6mg nic...it's ok tasting but I can't taste any carmel or tobacco for that matter. I'm not exactly sure what it tastes like. I have mine with the cap off to steep overnight too. I can see where it would definitely have potential though! It tastes alright now and is definitely vapable so if it gets better...
My orders take 3 weeks to get here (Canada), so they kinda steep already. But I still open the bottle, and let it steep for another 2 weeks or so. My early December RY4 is incredible, and I expect my 120ml bottle I received last week will be just as good in a week or so.

Mine tasted a bit off when I first opened it but after a 24 hour sit with the cap off it tastes good. I usually steep my big bottles for a month but since my stash is stuck in the tropics until February I am vaping it.
My first Ry4 purchase from FSUSA was 120ml bottle. I certainly didn't taste like any cardboard that I had ever eaten! But I left it open overnight after sampling it. That helped. It also helped to put some of it in a smaller bottle. I shook both bottles up. And I would take from the smaller bottle. Now that it's steeped some, it's a "whole different animal"! Delicious!
I never try to compare flavors with different vendors, in fact now I only order from about 2, FSUSA mostly. But in the past I've ordered 555, RY4 and a couple of others and to be honest none of they ever tasted the same. So when someone says I like 555 what does that really mean because every vendors tastes a little different.
I wanted to add that you're supposed to take it out of the box that it was shipped in first.
I have had RY4 from MANY vendors over the past 2.5 years it is my fav. because of the smell and the sweetness ...this one had neither ...I am in no way trying to bash this vendor..I am trying all the suggested things, right now only time can tell how it will turn out, it may end up being the greatest thing ever or the worst ever

I had only vaped it from one other vendor. And the difference was like night and day! After it steeped, it became my all day vape until I discovered Menthol Pure Cig. And I still revisit it for an extra "kick". (the first taste that I got from it on the first day was "hot sauce"---not cardboard.) I understand though. When you're expecting one thing and get something else, it can feel like a kick in the teeth. Don't worry. It will become like a kiss on the lips.
BTW, I'm from "down there" originally as well. I'm a Fontenot.
24 hr update: The smell has slightly changed ....I think it still needs to go longer though, so I capped it and shook the daylights out of it, uncapped it and put it back in the closet for another 24 hrs? i guess...I will continue to update

I didn't leave mine uncapped for an additional 24 hours. I just shook the daylights out of it any chance I got. I also had a smaller empty bottle that I put some in. And shook that. The smaller bottles steep more quickly.
