I looked at it and it does look really nice. The Nebula Edition does have a clear coat applied on it, but he asked if he could order the clear also when he placed his order. So, he did end up buying a color and a clear. I would like to stay away from this, since the layers can start to build up on the threading. His did, though, turn out great!

What about this color, would this work? It has the same description as the Nebula Edition color and I really likey!!!
Powder Buy The Pound

Ma'am,
Two points:
1) that color looks really cool but it WILL look black most of the time. Most likely, you would only see the purple if the light hits it just right.
2) S.L made my 5V with the clear coat and the 3.7/6V without the clear. Both look awesome - different but both awesome. The one w/o the clear is a little less glossy (and you feel the finish of the powder coat just a little bit - probably similar to the black ST) and the one w/clear is a little glossier, feels a little glassier and when the light hits it - directly in sun or directly under a bright light - you see more of the metallic. Both look great. If you like the black lava - oops, I mean the "Nebula Edition" :D - by all means please do get it :nun: and enjoy it!!!

There is absolutely no reason to avoid it. It IS a great color! ;)

To anyone who might think/feel as Ma'am seems to - that the black lava color, which I have been playfully and affectionately referring to as the Nebula Edition, should not be used because I have it or was first - please know that I would hope many like it, get it and enjoy it. My playful/affectionate "naming" was my way of saying that I hope it is popular enough to actually become an "edition".

You can see photos of it on page 1 of this thread. I am not a good photographer - those were taken with a point-n-shoot using a couple different auto settings. It looks even better in person. I love it and hope others may choose it too. No matter what color you choose, you really cannot go wrong because as anyone who has seen, tried or has a Saber Touch knows - this is a really great mod!

Happy :vapor: all and I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Couple of questions:

I bought one of your Special Edition Blue Sabers a few weeks ago, and I love it. But, I was wondering if there would be any way to send it back along with a custom color to apply? I understand there would be a charge for that, but is that something you would want to do for people who have already purchased a Saber? I totally understand if this is just for new Sabers, too.

Also, are there any limits to what can be sprayed? I was thinking about using a 'wrinkled' color like this, is that possible? Also, it may have been mentioned before, but I missed it: Can you spray the end caps with a different color, or even the same color? Sorry for all the questions, I hope I don't come off as ungrateful for the great Blue Saber, it works great. Thanks.

The powder coating is sprayed after all the machining is done to the aluminum, and then baked. Then all of the electronics and so forth are installed. We couldn't recolor a ST since the electronics wouldn't be able to handle 400f.
If you go onto our website, it gives all of the limitations we have. As far as spraying the end caps, you wouldn't be able to make a sensor connection since there isn't any bare metal touching your hands.
Sorry that we wouldn't be able to do all of the things you have asked.

No, not a problem at all, if I just would have read on from the top of the custom page I would have found the 'not recommended' list. Sorry about that. And after I posted, I thought about the 'no exposed metal' thing, but you answered before I came back to edit it. So, sorry to waste your time, I love my ST, great work.

One more thing: Are there any plans to ever make the end caps with a different metal? I like the look of the brass, but maybe in the future you could incorporate a metallic,silvery-colored metal as an option. thanks Sir Lawrence, hope sales are brisk for you, you make one hell of a product.

I've done a lot of experimenting on the

Glow In The Dark Coating

So, Now, You can Add GITD or Clear Coatings
To Any Custom Saber Touch!

We Now Stock the GITD and Clear Coating As An Option!

You can choose any powder coating color that needs a Top Coat now just by adding the Top Coat or Glow In The Dark Option.

This will give you a lot more colors to choose from!

I can't Wait to see the Custom Saber Touch Mods you all come up with!

I am in the process of making a video and pictorial documentary on How The Saber Touch is Created! I will document all of the steps I take in making the mod. From start to finish, you will see how The Saber Touch is totally manufactured by hand in my shop! Who knows... your color might be used as an example!
