For me no battery is safe to vape at 0.1Ω on a mech mod.
Mxjo 18650 batteries look to be ok down to 0.25Ω , though i have not used them.

samsung 25R and Sony Vtc 4 are what most people use but still not good at 0.1Ω on a mech mod.

So I have a Mxjo 18650 in my stingray x. I have a dual Clapton (24g wrapped with 28g) 4 wrapped macro that I built on my mutation x v4. It reads to .1 ohms on the dot and I was wondering if there is a safer battery to Vape on? I can tell that my batteries are about done so I'm probably going to buy a few more to replace them.

That MXJO is probably only really a 20A battery (no matter what its wrap says) and is not a good choice for auch a low ohm build. As you may have heard, using a single 18650 with a 0.1 ohm build is flat out unsafe if something happens...button breaks, gets stuck on, accidently gets pressed in a pocket, etc.

If you are going to continue anyway, :) the VTC4 or VTC3 will be less dangerous to use than the MXJO. The LG HB6 won't overheat with that build but is a 1500mAh battery.

I sometimes go a hair under 0.2 ohms on a mech mod and when I do that I use VTC3 or VTC4 batteries that are in good shape. Your 0.1 ohm build will draw around 42A when the batt is fully charged from what is hopefully a 20A battery. If your ohm reader is out a bit and the resistance is actually 0.07 ohms you'll be drawing around 60A.

That's a bit too much of a risk for me :)

I'm no battery expert, but the conclusion I've come to after researching available batteries, is that we pretty much have access to 20A continuous...and whatever pulse rating, which I don't use...
With all the confusion about VTCs these days...are they real? are they old?...I just gave up on finding a true 30A batt.
I build in the .27-.29 range. I'm pulling just over 15A, which gives me about a 25% safety margin...and I buy good, trusted batts from reputable sources.
I feel safe enough vaping in this manner.
Batitude says he won't build below .4 on a 20A...
So, everybody has to make their own choices about how to vape...but, .1?
That is flat out beyond the capacity of any battery I'm aware of, by more than double if it's a 20A...and forget about any kind of safety margin...
Seems like that's just asking for it...

For info on batteries Baditude has several excellent blog posts on the subject. His blogs on battery safety are a must read before you venture into the world of sub-ohm vaping.

    Reliable sources for batteries:
    Batteries-Chargers-Flashlights-Only The Best
Authentic AW Batteries - RTD Vapor
Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting, and More!

Do not buy batteries from eBay or Amazon. Some of their third party sellers sell fakes.

... and finally, here's a link that explains things in pretty simple terms: Vaping Battery Safety & Ohms Law Illustrated and explained in very simple terms

No one battery mech can safely vape a .1 coil because at full charge of 4.2 volts it draws 42 amps from the battery, and there's no such thing as a 42 amp IMR cell. According to @Mooch 's chart, the LG HB6 can be safely used out to 30 amps, and the LG HD2, the Sony VTC3 and VTC4 can be used with caution out to the same amp loading. Buy a two battery mod, or a regulated mod, or rebuild that thing into something saner is my advice.
