Ive been using cape cod cloths for a while, but every subsequent polishing especially on my brass mods, my engravings look duller and duller.
Im not the type to really polish all the time, but the only reason why ive done it like 4-5 times on my brass nemesis is because i first started using it with 18350 tube only then afterward changed to 18500 / 18650, so the patina's didnt match therefore to get 1 constant color on the mod, i had to polish.
My brass nemesis engraving is pretty much gone, the outline is still there but its not dark at all.
Its a clone, so no biggie. But i plan on purchasing maybe a caravela clone and want to keep the engraving intact.
Whats the best way to polish without harming your engravings?
I feel like brass is the only one that engravings fade, my SS mods still look like day 1.
