Regulated, more or less, refers to the control you have of your vape. Some eliquids taste better at a higher voltage/wattage, some at a lower voltage/wattage. Ideally, you would want a regulated device that has some built-in protections. Not all devices are made the same. Most regulated devices made nowadays have a lot of protection features so that your device can last. A common problem that we used to have with regulated devices was the lack of reverse polarity/battery protection. What that means is if you put your battery in backwards the circuit board would fry itself, destroying the device instantly. Keep a look out for that. Also, know what the device can handle. Hopefully it comes with some type of user manual to let you know.

I appreciate all the help man and if I have anymore questions before the 3rd I know where to go, I'll update here in the near future. I'm excited to quit smoking and get into vaping. Have a good one

I've been doing some research and it seems that what I want would be called " Vape pen " unmodded, not electrical mod and definitley not mech mod.. I guess that's where my confusion was coming from. I'm assuming Vaporizer pens are the standard unmodded version which is what I was trying to think of earlier. Sort of a plug in and charge without removing the battery and a disposable clearomizer type deal.

Electrical mods would be where I am headed ( or forced to start if they lack any basic pens ) but I don't want to deal with multimeters or investing in expensive batteries and expensive chargers for external batteries.

Vape pen with disposable but refillable clearomizer is what I would be after, correct me if I'm wrong.

Nowadays, vape pens are how most people get started. It is the number one thing I recommend for beginners. Nearly every vaper I know has an ego battery of some sort. You have options, but see what your local vape shop has first.

Almost all vape pens have two types of threading: 510 and ego. Ego threads are on the outside of the battery and 510 threads are on the inside. The clearomizer you're using has ego threading so you should be able to use it with any ego battery/vape pen made today. They come in different sizes (a bigger ego battery usually means more battery life) and different colors. Some have different options like variable voltage/wattage. Five clicks of the button to turn it on, five more clicks to turn it off. (Some may be six clicks, some may be three clicks.) Push the button when you want to take a drag.

The way egos can be charged can vary too. Some can use a mini usb connection and simply plug into the device. Most that I've seen and used come with a usb charger that you screw into. Plug in your usb to a wall adapter/wall wart and screw in your battery. Don't do this the other way around because this can cause an electrical surge to flow into your battery and possibly damage it. Also, don't plug your charger into a computer. Don't walk away from a charging battery, don't go to sleep when a battery is charging, and when its done charging take it off the charger.

Something to note:
Egos are fairly cheap and there are a lot of knockoff brands. Thats okay, but you may consider having an extra battery in case one dies (either from the battery being depleted or it ceases to work). Only use the charger that comes with your battery.
