All parts of the process of extracting flavors or eliquid from tobacco may be dangerous or potentially cause nuisance or damage. Some of the hazards are fumes, toxic liquid spills, poisoning due to splashes on the skin, toxic waste, eye damage risk, boiling liquid scalding injury - and more.

If you don't have the right tools, knowledge and skill, don't do it.
