Well, the 42K was a tad overboard, but you're missing the point of buying snow equipment. The purpose is to keep the snow away. It's kinda like an offering to Snowgod. You buy equipment, he keeps the snow away for a couple of years.

Worked for me. I bought a snowblower and we didn't get any accumulation to speak of for the next 3 years. Still had the pricetag on it til a couple years ago. I thought it was a great investment!

My timing this year has sucked.

Did I mention that I bought a $42,000 dollar Snow Plow in the first year of the last ten without even one snow event.

I'm sorry you missed the sale. I wondered if we'd have one, and I did mention it. I've been holding off getting stuff I want, thinking there might be a sale. But in the past, I missed one till I got the hang of waiting. Now I lay in wait.

Stock up while you can save money doing it. You'll always use it at some point. If I don't take advantage of a sale, then I get stuck having to buy things at full price not long afterward.

Well, almost nothing.

I look at it like this, 'killer: cartomizers are a "consumable"; to a lesser degree, so are batteries. I try to keep my buying down to where I only need to order during the sales. The question isn't whether I'm going to use my goodies, or even when I might use them up. The question is, what am I going to pay for them? By now, paying "full price" is almost physically painful.
--I'd say this covers the "Y chromosome" crack, as well. BTW--I inhaled some tea behind that one; my neighbor next door probably thinks I'm insane: over here cackling madly at 2.30am.
