Im a carpenter and I've always been wanting to make a wood box mod
Before I went crazy looking for some nice wood, I figure I'd give it a try on a peice of 2x4 laying around the job site. That was a smart idea, it took me 6 tries to get it how I wanted it. The first 5 had the dumbest mistakes lol I don't have pics of the process but here is the final product.
Im happy with it. Its my new daily for work. My Beat box. Something I can toss around with no worries.

Copper makes for really bad contact springs, if one is more oxidized than the other you put the batts in and they go unstable and then maybe you have an overcurrent situation as you jiggle it around and things go bad. Its advised to use some noalax to stop them from tarnishing and use it often so no worries.. You may have already experienced a sag due to oxidation, copper tarnishes very fast..

Nice mod for the job looks legit, 'The 2x4'..
