Sanding/Polishing 3d print alumide

I have several Alumide 3d printed squonkers that I am hoping I can sand/polish to tone down the rough feeling on the mod.
Anyone have an luck doing this or would have some advice on what to use?

I have lightly sanded 1 alumide mod that I have.It did make it a lot smoother,but it also made it look sparkly haha.It made the small aluminum particles shiny and almost looked like glitter on it.

Alumide can be sanded polished

Thanks all. I did take some 220 grit to it and yes...it's all sparkly now lol.

May finish it with some 1200 to smooth it out more.

I've had some things chromed after 3D metals printing and there's zero pitting or texture showing. Fingerprints are a different story. And after all that work, leather case hahah. Good luck! Pictures too?
