I just received some sapphire bud atomizers today. As soon as I got in my car from the post office I opened the package, took out a bud atomizer and filled it up with juice. I immediately noticed fluid had leaked from the battery threads. It seemed like it came from the center post. I cleaned it up and enjoyed plumes of vapor.

Once the bud got really low on juice I decided to use a syringe this time for filling in case some sort of back pressure may have caused the atomizer to leak before. I was very careful to make sure all of the juice made it into the atomizer. Sure enough it started to drip out the bottom again. About 20-25% of the juice leaks out. After it subsides, it does not leak again until the next filling.

I am enjoying the vapor production and flavor this atomizer gives off, but am clueless as to how to fix this. Has anyone else shared this experience? What can I do to stop this?

As I was writing this I had the bud dripping into a bottle of juice to catch the drips. Upon further inspection I realized that the juice is going into the air vent and leaking out of the hole on the bottom that allows for airflow. I've now lost about a third of the juice out of the atomizer. How do I stop this?

I initially was using flux nectar belgian waffle which is a 70/30 mix of pg/vg and then went to an all vg in hopes that the thicker liquid might help somehow. No dice. Still leaks. It's a real shame. They are easy to fill and give consistent vapor. I was hoping it was user error on my end, but it's looking more like a design flaw.

I've got two of the saphires and have run about six tankfuls thru them. I've never had more than a drop of leakage. I stop filling mine when the fluid gets to the shoulder that stops the drip tip. I'm fairly careful to keep it upright most of the time, but I've turned it upside down with no issues. I don't think your problem is a design flaw but a manufacturing issue.

Have you talked to Customer Service?

I agree with everything you stated. The atomizer that doesn't leak works like a champ. I did talk to customer service, but I wanted to ask on this sub forum before bothering those guys. I know they're busy and often times problem with atomizers are related to user error. I'm pretty sure that it's a manufacturing issue as appose to a design flaw or user error. I notice that the metal cylinder that holds the wick is recessed a bit on the atomizers that leak. I've been filling them about 80% and the one I'm currently using doesn't even leak a drop.

I was really happy with customer service. The response time was great and they were very helpful. I plan on ordering more through these guys. I'm just waiting on the vision stone tanks and the stardust 2.5-2.7ohm to be in stock before I put in another order.

On a separate note, the Belgian Waffle flux nectar juice is amazing. I don't really vape sweeter juices, but I really like that one. I normally go for clove, cardamon, flue cured, black tea and french pipe flavors. I picked it up on a recommendation and it's awesome. The price of the juice is great too. I am a very happy customer.:)

Both of the ones I just got are leaking bad, the maximizers I bought from them this last month did the same thing, do all their cartomizers leak? I love the different products they come up with, just wish the ones I've bought so far didn't leak.

Sapphires can be cantankerous. And the only cartos I ever got from GV that leak. :) Visions, Fluxos, Stardust and Phoenix don't. If you like bottom-coils, try the Phoenix - they taste and wick really well. Just remember to fill them upside-down, and they won't leak a drop.

I was wondering if you got this sorted, drum? I've used five boxes of Bud's and never had a leak with one out of the box. It's one of the reasons I love 'em; I can literally turn the things upside down and not a drop spills.

The only time I have had a problem is after pulling a couple apart to dry burn; I didn't line the innards up properly with the side air hole, and juice went EVERYWHERE! You mention the metal looking like it was recessed a little? If they're goners for you anyway, maybe it's worth taking the tank off and putting it back together? (If you do, try not to 'lose' the wick from it's tube - lots seem to find them easy as pie to replace, but darned if I can!)

One thing on filling that hasn't been mentioned here; don't let the top of the bottle (or whatever you're filling with) create a seal with the top of the tank while you're filling, or it can force juice into the air vent.

Good luck with them, I'm a big fan of their flavour and vapour :)
