I've been noticing something recently. GG's seem to be sitting on the classifieds for days at a time. I remember when I first started vaping any GG that hit the classifieds would be gone within an hour, now they seem to be ignored. I'm a little concerned about the stuff I just posted (bought as an investment from an overseas forum). Any thoughts on this, y'all? Has the bottom dropped out of the GG market?

Yeah, I've found that myself. One of the GGTSs I snagged was scratched, but it's so much lighter. It also looks like someone tried like hell to buff the scratches out because the engravings are almost gone. I think I'm going to get the main body, the top tube, and the collector tank powdercoated black to handle that problem. Don't see any reason to hold onto the whole SSGGTS because of that, but the Stealth portion of it walked down the aisle with me, so it ain't going nowhere.
Times are still tough around the world.

The nickel GGTS and SSGGTS are priced good, I can't use nickel though it will tarnish too quickly.

Well I will throw in my .02 for what it is worth. I think there are fewer GG collectors now than in the past. I know I personally have had to cut wayyy back due to some tight money issues and the same has happened to other people that I know that have and do collect. Also I think that the fact that many vendors have GGTS in stock may have slowed the pre-owned market down a bit.

Either way good luck with your sales. I hope everything goes smoothly for you especially since I may end up selling some of my GG stuff off in a couple months if things don't get better.

In all fairness I really didn't expect most of that stuff to sell at the prices I posted. If it's still there tomorrow morning I'll start doing some price drops.

As far as that goes, it's all about supply and demand. A lot of these GGs get handled like they were made of glass, so they basically ARE new. Couple that with the fact that you can't buy the nickel ones anymore...

One thing I don't understand is the obsession with low numbers. I've seen low number GGTSs sell on the classifieds for well above new price and that makes NO sense to me. To each their own, I guess.
From what I saw the reason is that people want to be paid like their GG was new, or even above, when in fact what they are selling is used...

Seen at least a few threads where that was the case...

Think of it like someone collecting cars. The lower the serial in the production range, the more of a demand there is for it.

Oh, I understand why people THINK it's important... I just don't agree. It rarely pays to be on the bleeding edge. The thing that's bleeding is usually your wallet...

In any market even a depressed market there will be a good price for things that people can't get a hold of, I've refrained from getting a UFS on the classifieds cause I know they're gonna come in stock new. For anyone wanting a SSGGTS and not caring for the # CoV has them right now. But if a GG Slim or a GGTB were to pop up in the classifieds right now I bet it would fetch a good price. It's the same as any market supply and demand.

Amen to that. That's why out of three 2011 nickel GGTSs I purchased the one I kept was the scratched up one. I'm firmly in the 'Abuse' camp. It's a tool, not an object of worship. That's not saying that I'm not reasonably careful with it, but in the end what difference does a scratch make to the performance?
i disagree, i think they are just overpriced for what they are. i want a pv to use, not put on a shelf to look at. my favorite is my noego, works great, dont care if it gets scratched, and if i lose it it's not the end of the world.

As long as a new SS GGTS can be bought new from a reseller, the prices in the Classifieds here will remain lower. It matters not what camp you are in as there will always be those that are willing to pay for a certain version or serial number range for what they see as colectability. Most don't see PV's as collectables though so the prices remain lower than when there are no new ones to be purchased.

I might also add that there were a couple of sales that went down from non-regulars to the GG forum where people got less than advertised items. The old saying about one apple spoiling the barrel fits here. When there were 2 incidents within a week or so of each other, even those that would pay a bit more for a "collectable" are hesitent. Honest sellers like the case here wind up paying the price for the periphery GG salesmen with questionable descriptions and shipping.

Folks will get over those guys though Chaos. I am sure you weill seel your GG's! Just my 2 cents. :)
