Scaling the total % of flavor blends

Hi all,

Does anybody here have experience with scaling down (or up) blends multiple flavors to meet their preferred total flavoring %? I've found over the last week that 10% total flavoring is about where I like it. So as an example, I found this 'Claim Your Throne' clone recipe WAY too strong to drip:


  • 12% Butterscotch
  • 6% Sweet Cream
  • 4% Vanilla Custard
  • 3% Brown Sugar
Taking that blend from 25% total flavoring down to 10%, if my math is correct, should give:


  • 4.8% Butterscotch
  • 2.4% Sweet Cream
  • 1.6% Vanilla Custard
  • 1.2% Brown Sugar
I'm waiting on more Butterscotch before I can attempt this, just want to see if that's the best approach, or if there's a better way.
