Scared to try HHV..

I am a big fan of Halo's tobacco flavors... especially Prime 15... but it is getting a bit too expensive for me. People swear by HHV's tobacco flavors and I've been told Dark Horse is somewhat similar to Prime. Can anyone else confirm this? I'm hesitant because I've gone with many suggestions from people that ended up being horrible, like the Classic tobacco flavor from VapeDudes. A lot of people told me it was the best tobacco flavor they ever had. It reminds me of the taste of soap and musky perfume doused in massive amounts of mesquite liquid smoke and I almost puked on the first hit. I let it steep for 2 months and its still just as nasty. Is there anybody who likes Halo that can say they liked HHV's tobaccos just as much or better? I know taste is subjective but I figure if someone likes Halo's tobaccos and likes HHV's it might be worth a try.

I know this might not be so helpful considering I am not a fan of the tobacco flavors, but I tried Heather's Gandalf and I really liked it and I was really quite surprised. I had my husband and a friend try it out and they have different tastes than mine and we all agreed that it was good stuff. I've also read other on the forum speaking highly of Gandalf. Maybe try a sample? Its worth a shot, trust me

I don't like most of the tobacco flavors I have tried. However, Gandalf and Shadowfax are both good in my opinion. Gandalf is very complex and keeps you wondering what it is whereas Shadowfax is light and creamy and easy to vape. Gollum isn't bad either, but it is darker, richer and has fruity (plum and raisin) tones. Sounds odd but it kinda works in a weird way. But yeah, maybe order a sampler pack of some of their tobacco flavors and give it a shot. I believe they have a sampler of 4 3ml bottles for like 8 dollars.

If you decide to give HHV a try, I highly recommend Pirate's Booty. It's a wonderfully balanced tobacco with a bit of sweetness. If you want a straight up tobacco, pick up some Huntsman.

I don't know if this helps since the only Halo flavor I vape regularly and really love is Bella Valente I've never tried Prime 15. But what I can tell you is I noticed some similarities between Dark Horse and Bella in taste. Yeah I just loaded up some Bella now....vaping...vaping. Okay I think the main similarities are I guess you could call it rich smokeyness also with Dark Horse I get a hint of vanilla, not everyone gets that but I do and Bella certainly has some vanilla going on much more so than Dark Horse.

This is the only HHV flavor that tastes anything like a Halo flavor. But when first vaping Dark Horse I did find myself thinking hey this tastes a little like Bella.

well with HHV, I finally found something I could vape all day and it wasnt a tobacco flavor. It was actually DD watermelon. WOW! Best thing I ever vaped. the only tobacco flavor I have vaped from them is gandalf. Its tastes exactly like black and mild. I hate smoking black and mild because for some reason they turned my stomach. I actually enjoyed gandalf though. If I had not just invested a bunch of money into diy and the fact that they charge flat rate shipping, I would be trying more.

well, I've tried both HHV, VapeDudes (not their Classic Tobacco though; I tried Grand Prairie) and Halo (actually vaping Midnight Apple now) and pretty much agree with your description "reminds me of the taste of soap and musky perfume" of VapeDudes' liquids. HHV is completely different, it's on par (or even better) with Halo so don't be afraid and at least give HHV a try. You won't be disapponted.

HHV has a very reasonable sample pack for $8...so there you go.:thumbup:
I haven't tried all their juices yet but the ones I've tried have been pretty good. I am still not sure if Gandalf will be a reorder yet though...but it's growing in me. I do really like the dark horse though.

I tried Dark Horse a month or so ago. It tastes very similar to AVE's Blend 4 to me.

Don't be afraid of HHV! I'm not even atobacco fan and I think Gandalf is amazing.... (it does need about a week to stretto though). I am pretty sure that HHV is best known for her tobacco line, although she does have some great non-tobaccos too. For you I would suggest trying :
-Gandalf (soooo good!)
-Serendipity (stronger version of Gandalf)
-heavenly tobacco (their take on Ry4)
-Shadowfax (has almost the same following as Gandalf)
-dark horse (hear over and offer it tastes just like a cigarette)
-Oompa
-Gollum
-pirates booty (to switch it up a lil)

If I were a tobacco only vaper...Hhv would be keeping me satisfied for sure! I think one taste and you will agree, she is known for it for a reason. Plus, pricing is very reasonable, and customer service is great. I don't see areason not to try!

HHV is my only vendor now. Maybe down the road I will try another. I am a fruit person and HHV has the best that I have tried so far. Right now I am content with the variety that I have with Heathers.

Lol. I like hhv and halo bit not tobacco flavors so much i like coffees and fruits although i did like bluemist caramel tobacco.

Never tried Halo because I use VG only juices. But, I can vouch for HHV's Purity line. I've tried 16 flavors. Loved all but 1 and 1 other I'm sort of iffy on right now. I'm vaping on Gollum, as I type this post.
