LOL Out of curiosity could someone measure their Scubagen end to end not including drip tip, so I can see how much of a difference I can make overall? I love the Scubagen, but it's way to long for my taste.

I only got one, but I felt confident enough to do this.

2.25" is just the bottom section right? what about the whole length bottom to top cap?

Thinking the same thing myself..... Might cut it down to about a 2-5ml tank love how it looks but i think for work would need something smaller.....

I swear I already posted this, but I'm having some trouble.. I can roll 15 mm into a small enough roll to fit into the hole with the bic pen in it, but there's no way I could roll 1.5 inches. I've got everything put together, I've got what should be around 2ohms, but all I'm getting is burnt taste.. it could be the insulation from the wire in the center, but who knows. it's still got a burnt taste, and I've run almost 1/2 tank of juice through it. help?!

Is there a piece of coil that gets red????? If so try to adjust it so it doesn't......

the entire coil glows red. I'm running at about 4.7v or so.. I'll try again, I'm going to rebuild it, but I have a few ideas on a few things that might make it easier for me.

I should be getting my kanthal and ss mesh tomorrow or the day after. To be sure that I have read this correctly, I should boil the mesh first, then roll it with a kindof twist/spiral to help it bend. Then I should not inhale for about 30 puffs worth... That about cover it?

Well I guess that gives me an excuse to get rid of one of our cats... Which would be better, an adult solid black cat, or a tiger striped kitten? Don't really wanna harm my big familiar...

Black cats are commonly thought of as the ones to do this to. The commoners are wrong. White cats are the good luck ones. I, however, would go with the kitten. Young, virgin sacrifice always has the greatest returns due to it being the greatest loss. Especially when we are talking about hot babes. Which we are not.

Extra bonus, due to it being so new to your current life the loss of the kitten won't sting so much as it is easily replaced. Try to replace it with a white kitten.

Maybe not a short then. Possibly too tightly rolled mesh. You'd get a few good hits and the run dry and burn juice. Or the resistance is too low for the power you are supplying.

I have been rolling mesh fo ahwile, and I think I may have a solution. In the beginning I was wrapping it as tight as I could and making it small enough to fit in the hole I was aiming for. It always amaised me how much the other countries could produce tons of vapor, after looking at the way they rolled the wicks, it dawned on me they leave a passage way in the center of the wick itself. So here is a method to try, take a 3/4" x 4.5" piece of SS and a 6" piece of 24-22ga electrical wire. Roll it like you normally would fold over 1/4" then roll from the other side using the electrical wire as the support in the center. Now the prebend is much easier to obtain with out kinks. Once you have the bend you want and it fits in the hole of the main body, just pull the wire out of it. Now re-establish your prebend and oxidize it. Wrap your wire and insert the wick. This should fix the kinking issue and allow for a liquid channel in the center of the wick. Of course with a smaller dia you will need more wraps to obtain your ohms value.

Notice the prebend is much easier to obtain, no kinks, and the fluid passage (hole) is in the center of the wick.
Yould have to be a little more delicate with this one it is prone to crushing easier until the SS is tempered by the heat.

This reminds me of bending PVC pipe, sometimes we could do small bends without kinking but for a bend more than 45 degrees, it would be best to use one of those big spring thingys inside the pipe (forget what its called, maybe PVC pipe bender? )

That is technically referred to as "That springy doojabby that keeps the pipe from collapsing thing"...
