Seeking relief from nicotine addiction, some e-cigarette users turn to cigarettes - CNN

Even though McClain knows the dangers of cigarettes — lung cancer runs in his family — he thinks it might be easier to kick cigarettes than his juul. Plus, his mom keeps warning him about the mysterious vaping-related illnesses that have sickened hundreds across the country.
So last month, McClain bought his first pack of cigarettes in years. Then he tweeted about it.
"Bought a juul to quit smoking cigarettes," he wrote, "now I'm smoking cigarettes to quit the juul." He ended with this hashtag: #circleoflife.

By the time the anti-vaping zealots figure out what they've done it will be to late to undo. Actually, it probably is too late.

That's just it. They DO know what they are doing. They have a financial interest in make people go back to smoking. They are getting exactly what they wanted.

I'm talking about the cattle not the farmers. It's everywhere now. Even new 2nd-hand vapor scare stories are starting to show up.

Just look at the marijuana white papers, and ree-fer madness, and you will see the exact same game plan being played out in front of your very eyes...this is sheer nutz!

Except now it is THC cartridges killing people. Won't stop folks from wanting them. But nic vaping? Sure, kill it off and let people get their nic the old fashioned way, smoke tobacco. Wonder how many THC cartridge users will just return to smoking a joint instead of going all high tech? Betcha not many.

Their health is being put in danger by the misinformation from the media, and the various health agencies that won't state strongly what is really going on...this could have some serious backlash down the road.

They've been had. ...hard! Stories like these might help stem the tide though. Sorry for the people who think they're going to quit smoking by... ...smoking. Or am I?

I have no desire to stop vaping but even if I couldn't vape, I would not go back to smoking. My daily nicotine consumption is down to the level where I could probably easily stop at this point. I don't really get any major cravings for nicotine anymore. down to 1.5 MG/ML for around a year now and not vaping anymore than I did before slowly reducing it to that point.

Have a liter of 100mg nicotine in freezer. Should last a very long time. Plan on getting another liter before year is out.

I recently watched a series on Netflix where they interviewed the 'suppliers'. Many of them said when someone dies, it is great for business cause everybody wants their stuff since it is obviously potent.

That kid is going back to smoking because he prefers it to vaping. Not rocket science.

The people who depend on funding from cigarette taxes know who they are. They need vaping to be banned while cigarettes remain for sale. If you pay attention you'll notice the anti vaping crowd is overwhelmingly tax supported.

The problem is not with THC cartridges as a whole, it's with contaminated, unregulated/untested black market cartridges.

I blame CNN and all these other click bait news articles. This one, you need to read 14 paragraphs in before they “report” lung damage is possibly linked to nicotine and marijuana vaping. The media created the hysteria, they could fix it but they won’t.

As far as the guy in the article. He needs to educate himself, like we have tried to do. Good luck with the tar and all the other additives in his cigarettes besides the nicotine.

As members of ECF who have successfully been smoke-free for 6 months or a year or 3 years etc - we know that it is all the other chemicals in tobacco, that makes it addictive and hard to quit. It's not not just the nicotine.

To start smoking again to quit a high nic Juul?

I'm a nicotine addict and I've been vaping only for 7 years.
