I'm having an issue with my batteries. I can use one battery with my dct system and it works fine. When I change batteries the cartomizer refuses to work. Other cartomizers work on the second battery and the cartomizer that wasn't working with the second battery works with my wifes battery. I have no idea what's going on. Any suggestions as to what to do?

We are both using ego 650mah batteries and 1.5 ohm cartos. I think the ones we are using are single coil.

Not sure what volts/amps these ego 650 batteries actually put out exactly but you may be right on the line of an amperage limit for those batteries. You may need a better battery or higher ohm cartomizers. Even thought the cartos are rated at 1.5 they may not be that exactly. One can be different from another. For example one may read exactly 1.5 and you have trouble with it, but another reads at 1.7 ohm and keeps below the amp limit.

does the button led act normally? Solid when held down and not blinking and nothing out of the carto?
If so, the center terminal may not be making good contact with that carto and you're running into an open circuit.

I've had this happen and was able to GENTLY pull up on the center battery terminal to get it to make contact. If you do this use extreme caution though so that you don't break the battery.

The battery is working with a different carto though. Exactly how do I go about raising the battery terminal though. It's worth a shot.
i use a paper clip as it will bend before it breaks the battery post,,go around the post and pry a little bit each time,,,once or twice around the battery should do it..

That's why I didn't even bring up the battery post.

I read the ego puts out 3.3V. Whether that i correct I don't know for sure or whether that is under load or not, I'm not sure. With that said a 1.5 ohm cartomizer you are drawing 2.2 amps. What is the limit of the ego battery and it's switch? I know it can't be much higher than 2.2 amps.

How long have you been using these specific cartomizers with these batteries.

Ego runs at 3.4 and i have use 1.25 cartos before, but dam they drain the battery fast !!!
