I am really stuck between buying the VTR or the sigelei 30W. Liquid Vapes seems to have a really great price on the VTR at $64.99, which puts it a good $30 cheaper than the sigelei 30W, but I have a feeling the Sigelei is going to be the more versatile and enjoyable mod. Before I pull the trigger on the pricier option I wanted to see if any owners on the forums would share their experiences.

A few specific questions for VTR owners:
1) Have you had issues with the flip out door breaking or wearing out? I've seen some posts talking about this problem.
2) How does the VTR handle sub-ohm coils like the new Kanger 0.8's? I've seen posts saying it will fire it, but the Sigelei specifically advertises this functionality.

Also does anyone have any good/bad experiences with Liquid Vapes? I have not used them and I'm a little leery of vendors who don't have a registered supplier status with ECF. Any comments on their trustworthiness for buying authentic mods would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance forum goers!

The VTR can fire as low as 0.8Ohm.

I have the Sigelei 20w and I had the VTR before I gave it the wife. The VTR is fine if you use tanks that are 19mm or less in diameter. The VTR is a pretty solid device and even though I've had it fallen down quite a few times, it has not broken.

The Sigelei 20w, which is basically the same as the Sigelei 30w with a different chip, has been great for me. I like it.

Thanks a lot for your post Chris. The VTR seems a lot more practical from a mobility standpoint as long as you're using a smaller diameter tank like you're saying. I think both are pretty sexy mods, but the Sigelei is definitely BIG. This will be my first pricey VV mod so before I pull the trigger I want to make sure I am doing my homework.

These are 2 totally different mods. I have the VTR, but not the Sigelei30w. I have had a DNA30, however.

With the VTR, it is heavy, and doesn't damage too easily when dropped. My favorite feature is the recessed tank, but you are limited to 19mm, without the extension. I stick with ProTank2s and 19mm xl IBTanked carto tanks with a Sohpia for it. A Kayfun mini doesn't look right, and I don't think it works well either, IMO. I have had no issues from the 2 I have, which I have owned pretty much since they came out. I have not used it with a coil below 1.5Ω.

The 30W will allow you to use Kayfuns and other RBAs. If subohming is what you want, then I would go with this one.

I have a vtr and love it so far. I love the recessed tank as it makes it pretty portable. I really like the iclear 30s too, but a good rebuildable is the way to go. Mine will fire down to .6 ohm withy kayfun lite. I'm goin to order a siregelei 30 soon though. I'll use the vtr while I'm working and use the siregelei at home and just hanging out. Either way I don't think you can go wrong and you always want a backup, so order 1 then next paycheck order the other lol.

I have had a VTR for awhile, and it is heavy and will take a beating well. Not a huge fan of the I30-s tank that comes with it, it works... but I find that the coils arent as good as other coils. I have really enjoyed Aerotanks in it though they fit well into the VTR tank enclosure. The extension to use larger diameter tanks works perfectly well, the only possible downside to this is it can make things top heavy and make things prone to easy tip-over. All in all, I love my VTR, glad I bought it, and will continue to use it for a long time.

THAT said, I am thinking of buying a Seigeli 30 in the next couple of days. Why??? Well I am going to use the VTR as my on the go mod, and keep the Seigeli for home use, plus I have just started getting into some RBA/RTA stuff and while these do function perfectly well on a VTR, that means mucking about with the extension and as i said above makes them top heavy and if you are vain, a little ugly.

Summation; The Seigeli gives you a lot more flexability as far as what toppers you can use, and what ohms you use. The VTR not as flexible but built like a brick sh**house, weighs a lot, and in a pinch can be used to make your punch land harder and stronger :p

I own both. The problem with the Segelei is it only accepts AW batteries (at least mine.) You can put a sony VTC but you have to leave a big gap at the middle of the tube. Its great for RDA's . It sub ohms but barely 0.7 ohms is pushing it before it starts giving warnings.

If this is your only mod, my VTR is my EDC. You can get a nice belt carry case for it. Accepts the aerotank and the new aspire mini which are considered by many the best clearomizers. I would start with the VTR, you can get them less on ebay and the warranty works (I found out.)

In a month or two there will be the SVD 2.0 and more options in the tube mods but there will never be something like the VTR. Also the tobeco 30w is all around better than the Segelei, cheaper too. JMHO.

Why do you leave a gap in the middle when you can adjust it from the bottom?

I'm not a fan of the tobeco due to it using a cloned DNA chip.
