Hey guys, I am getting ready to purchase the Wismec Reuleaux. It holds 3 18650's and I am unsure of which batteries to get. I was looking at the LGH 2, and the Samsung INR30Q. There are two things that I am unsure of.

1: Do I need flat top or button top for this mod? ( Or will either work )
2: Are those batteries amperage High enough?

Any help, or suggestions to other batteries would be greatly appreciated.

If you vape according to your username, then you probably build low and power high. If so, the LB2 and/or LB6 would be the safest cells of choice with the concomitant drawback of reduced runtime. Or you could build sane and/or limit maximum power/preheat/Kanthal wattage and use HG2/30Q/VTC4 cells. Or build low and power high with HG2/30Q/VTC4 cells and accept a reduced safety margin and the likelihood of early cell degradation. Those who opt for the lattermost scenario generally point to pulsed vs constant ratings and the widespread availability and low cost of replacement cells.

at 90% effeciency if you set your cutoff voltage in escribe to 11.1volts an you are vaping at the full 200 watts then you will be fine with hg2's but if your cutoff voltage is set lower, say 9.6 volts and your running full 200 watts then you might want to step up to a 25-30 amp battery (vtc4 or better)...because you'd be drawing about 23.6 amps. if your vaping it at less than 200 watts i would go with hg2's for the 3000 mah's, i like the hg2's

3.2V is way beyond HG2 cut off value for me, its seems to be more like ''useless'' in here. LG HG2 can easly do (safe) 2.8V cut off. So once again. Did some set it up BELOW 3V and run Battery Analyzer yet?

Some graphs to ''make it more clear''

Whats my point.

1. stay safe
2. try to reach 2800-3000mAh on single cell
3. set right WH in escribe to match with battery indicator

HG2's are a fantastic choice for the Reauleaux unless you are chain vaping at max watts.

If you are vaping at lower wattages then a 3.2V cutoff is fine, even 3.1V. If you are vaping at max wattage then try 2.9V-2.8V since the battery's internal resistance causes a voltage drop at high amps. This voltage drop hides the battery's true charge state which can be seen when you stop the discharge and the battery voltage rises back up again. Setting the cutoff lower if you vape at high wattage settings allows you to use the full capacity of the battery without actually going below a 3.2V-3.1V resting voltage (the voltage that's important, not the temporary voltage during vaping).
