Let me tell you that you that I am proud of you and wish you the best of luck. I was a smoker for 29 years and smoked 1.5packs a day. I tried everything from patches, gum, chantix nothing worked. You wil need probably 18mg juice to start to be comparable to what your used to. Some vendors say 1.8mg. It is the same thing.
Now in my opinion you should start with a joyetech twist 1000mah. I started with the regular ego batteries but when my cravings hit I wanted something more powerful to get through them, you can turn it up on the twist to your needs and liking.
There is a lot of juices out there. Just know that if they are made fresh, they taste better after you steep them for a week. It just blends and tastes better. I can set up a easy kit for you if you want and send you the links. Any questions, I will try to help.
Just to let you know how much it helped me. I quit on 10/01. I came off of my oxygen tank 10/18 that I have been on for a year. I feel good and am so happy to breathe again. I couldn't have done it without all the help from everyone here on ECF. Hugs and be strong

People usually use maybe 30ml a week or less. You can use as-is 50-50, or grab some plain VG or PG and dilute it or change the mix ( 70pg/30vg is popular).

Broken, make sure the charger comes with the wall adapter. Some places sell the two separately.

18mg is not 1.8mg, that just does not make since! Someone needs to standardize that.
It is amazing you got off your oxygen tank! I am guessing you have COPD? As a future medical professional it blows my mind with the rates of success we get from pushing things like chewing gum and patches that we never think to suggest electronic cigarettes. I don't care if they "might" have some negative side effects in one random sample taken by the FDA, we KNOW cigarettes are 10 bajilliontrillion times worse!
So the more I here it sounds like I need the joyetech twist (which is an eGO twist right?).
My only concern is, if I have it set to low will I get no vaporization, and if it is set too high is there a possibility of burning?
I guess originally I had thought I would handle any cravings (which I usually just get when its "time" for a cigarette) by vaporizing a certain number of hits, more hits = more nicotine ?
Yes, seems like most sell them seperately. I was looking at the USB charger. I already have one or two plug in the wall USB things for my cell phone so I figured the wall plug would be an optional accessory for me, i.e. only if it comes with the package.
You got it. But I would really suggest a twist or variable volt, you WILL want to turn it up for those craving. My first regular ole ego satisfied me for about 3 days until those intense cravings hit. Also you should buy 2 as you will need one while the other is charging. Just a suggestion.
Just make sure you are getting a real joyetech ego, there are a lot of knock offs out there.

BrokenLung you are on the right track. You will enjoy it for long time. Suggestion get a sampler pack of flavors (if you can). Second if you can afford it got with a variable voltage battery.
Yes I have COPD. I have been doing great.
It doesn't matter if the twist setting is low or high as long as you use a 2.4 rated clearo
These are the ones I use and then you just unscrew them and replace the coil head when they go bad. Mine coils last about 2 weeks, sometimes more.

The 1.8mg, 1.2mg, etc. is a common mistake. 18mg is 1.8% nicotine and 12mg is 1.2%, and so on.
Actually, 18 mg/ml = 1.8%. I forget the math involved- pharmacology was about a decade and a half ago- but it does work out.
Some vendors label mg/ml, some %. And you're right, they do need to standardize the way that is labeled. It is too confusing. Yes, you can increase nic by vaping more. But you still need to find the level that works for you. I started with 18 mg/ml, but the juice was so tasty that I couldn't put it down and was making myself sick, so I had to drop to 12 mg/ml. Some people can't vape enough 18 mg/ml to control the cravings, or they want to vape less often, so they increase to maybe 24 mg/ml.

That sounds more like pharmacy math, yeck! 18mg/ml would be like %1,800 since 1ml=1mg (roughly speaking with most liquids).
1.8% would be 1.8mg in 100ml of whatever. **edit** I think, I am sick and tired right now. This can get complicated but I think that what I said is right, at least right now I do haha **edit**

True, but rather arbitrarily so since the apparent convention is to label mg per 100 ml, but 100mg nicotine concentrate is not "100%" liquid nicotine. This confused me at first a little when trying to determine DYI juice until I realized how this was being presented.
