When I went my doctor seemed fairly oblivious to the ecigs. He thought it was better than smoking but really didn't have anything to say. Certainly not like the triage nurse at the ER who got excited about me using them and wanted her brother to switch.

My roommate told him he was planning on switching to ecigs and the doctor got excited saying that was great and started singing the praises of ecigs about how it wasn't the nicotine that caused cancer or heart problems.
I guess the doctor has done some reading since I started going to him.

It probably helped that I was asking him about the studies showing nicotine helps ulcerative colitis. He seemed to think that was internet lore but I've since found the studies on NIH's website. If he has my final diagnosis, and he seems like a good enough doctor to keep up on his patients, he could've been forced into looking into it deeper.
Needless to say my plans on going to 0mg are out the window.

If we can win enough doctors the ANTZ don't stand a chance.

Yeah things are definitely starting to look up. More and more doctors are starting to sing the praises of vaping, and now big tobacco is starting to get into the game. For those unaware, this is a GOOD thing as we need big tobacco on our side or we will never stand a chance against big pharma and their loss of money on gum, patches, inhalers, etc.

I will be totally floored if they regulate vaping. Not because it might impede my pleasure but I just can't imagine them getting away with having used Nicorette for so many years and it being available online, on eBay, grocery stores. No way

I'm hoping it helps colitis. Mine kicked in last Jan. as I was heading down to 0, or at least a low nic level. I still don't have it fully under control yet.

Unfortunately, and IMO, BT is not going to be on our side in this. They will want everything regulated so that they are the only players. I think next year you will start seeing signs of change. :(

The studies I've read (that use patches and gum) say it keeps remission better than fighting flare ups.
    Nicotine treatment for ulcerative colitis

Mine started when I was still smoking but really kicked in when I cut my nicotine. I completely went to 5mg on a Sunday, that Tuesday I was sent to the ER.
I think mine is tied to Panic Disorder. All the doctoring and threat of Crohn's had it pretty bad until they put me on Asacol and Canasa. Once they downgraded me from Crohn's to UC the panic over it got much better.

Because of the panic about the doctors I went back to my original 11mg, it was that or have a cigarette. When I got the UC diagnosis all my 5mg got mixed back up to 11mg (nicotine isn't good for Crohn's).
I figure when I first quit I could get close to nic OD chain vaping 11mg. Now that I'm over chain vaping I'm sure my nicotine intake @11mg is lower than it was when I was smoking. Once my supply of 11mg is whittled down I plan on working my way up towards 18mg.

I heard the same about pipe tobacco when RJR bought Lane.
You are very wrong and don't know who your friends and enemies are.
Your enemies (BP) are the ones that convinced you that your friends (BT) are your enemies. Look at how they (BP and the ANTZ) lie about ecigs. Why do you still believe their old lies about BT?

Lorillard bought Blu. They didn't do away with Blu's flavors. They didn't do away with Blu using Johnson Creek. They didn't force Johnson Creek to stop selling direct or stop selling fill your own.
BT sees ecigs are the future. They don't want their future over-regulated. That would be extremely stupid and shooting themselves in the foot before the race even gets started.

I went to my Dr the other day. Mentioned to her about my switch. She stated few of her patients are on them as well and she sees nothing wrong with them but didn't know a lot about them. She said they obviously are much better them analogs
