It seems like many enthusiasts fall into either the flavor camp or the cloud camp. Are there groups or areas of ECF which are more focused on flavor and/or vapor production?
Sort of. The flavor junkies hang around the e liquid and DIY forums. The cloud chasers? I'm not sure what catagories they mostly hang out in.

I'm not interested in flavor or clouds. I want a good throat hit, good vapor quality and just enough flavor to cover the other ingredients. I want enouogh stuff to vape for 10 years so I can tell the government to go to hell and then I want to get governments out of the damn way so we can end the tobacco Age.

Thanks, guys. I find myself getting much more invested in flavor, specifically MTL flavor, and I'm finding that some perfectly good general advice has led to some wrong turns and purchasing missteps when my vaping style and flavor goals hadn't been made clear or understood. Just thought it'd be helpful if I could post within a group like-minded people rather than to the general community. It's all good, though... the fun in in the journey, isn't it?

Or, possibly, a "tootlepuffer" thread. It's a nickname for folks who prefer to vape lower power, usually higher resistance - and therefore, often MTL. Not ALWAYS of course, but it's kind of the opposite of "cloud-chaser" in other ways - so you might find like-minded folks in a tootlepuffer thread...

In general though, I'd ask anything anywhere - and just include details about what kind of draw you like, how much air, what kind of watts/joules/volts or whatever...
You still might get the occasional person who recommends their favorite RDA to everyone regardless of their specific request...can't be helped, unfortunately. No qualifying test for giving out advice on the internet...lol.

It is indeed.... Diy area is where you would want to go if you ask me then. What were you looking for maybe I could help you out.

I appreciate that, Ablonz, but it's nothing really specific at the moment. I'm just having to learn, as Train2 suggests, to clarify my style and goals when getting advice.
