Serious Custom Work???

I saw some of the nice wraps in another thread. I really liked the Jwrap one that looked like Vaders light saber. It got me thinking… has anyone done some serious metal work and made a saber vaper? Or anything totaly non standard.

Or when I get back to the states will I be the first one to try? I can see getting a mid range $ reliabe PV and taking it apart and stuffing it back into something fun. Now if there is someone out there with the skill set depending on price I may take the easy way out…

Looking at my PV with a AGA on top.. thinking it would be sweet to do a Pyrex center post with a low draw LED… I mean if you are going to have a light saber you need the light!

So then I started thinking… may need a ‘taller’ tank for the full effect, so will need some input there. Possibly get a custom center and tank made for an AGA.. but then how long can the wick be and still work (ideas?) I mean since I am not spending the money on analogs anymore.. and when I get stateside I will need something to keep me out of mischief...

Ideas? Comments?

You won't be the first to do a light saber, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try

If you've got some ideas, check around in the rest of the modding forums. You can learn how to build your own PV from the ground up, use existing electronics, or repackage an existing mod.

Now that I am back in the barracks and off the military network I can search more freely.

And a fill sized one on YTube... Think I'll try for one about the size of the PV with a narrow tank.. under lit by an LED for the blade effect.
