I read some of the posts in that thread and I'm quite surprised and also fascinated. I've always used plain water and paper towels to clean the vapor condensation off my windows. It's still cold enough here for there to be a lot of condensation in a small room where I vape a lot. Gets the windows clean as a whistle if there are no other substances on them which is the case for me.

I do make my own juice and only use PG, VG, water if required and flavorings. Makes me wonder what is in other people's juices that makes the condensate behave so differently

Exactly. I also believe that flavorings are not born equal.
I had once non-soluble film on insides of my tank. It was real pain in the chamber to clean it up.

I'm more worried about the film on the outside of my windshield cause by air pollution, dust, and allergens than the inside from USP grade pg/vg.

Sometimes I feel like folks are chasing the need to know that vaping is 100% safe. Nothing is 100% safe. You can die from drinking too much water too fast.

I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary and I observed zero negative health effects other than headaches from too much when I first started. I haven't had a single sinus infection or chest cold. Might be the longest stretch of my adult life. Can't prove it but I'm pretty much 100% sure it's because I vape instead of smoke.

I'm pretty much 100% DIY now so I don't worry about what is in my flavorings or what kind of quality the base ingredients are.

The fact that pg/vg are safe to put in your eye means I shouldn't spend time worrying about them going into my lungs. PG/VG aren't acutely toxic. They don't kill cells nor do they irritate them unless you are genetically pre-disposed to being sensitive to either. Thankfully, I'm good to go there.

There are people that have vaped for 7+ years now and still there are no reports of direct health consequences. It's all just speculation. We are all part of a great experiment whether we like it or not. I'd much rather be part of this experiment than any clinical trial from big pharma.

The three choices are smoke, vape, or abstain from both. If you can't live with the knowns of smoking or the unknowns of vaping then the third choice is the only option. I'm totally cool with option #2. Makes my life pretty pleasurable day to day and I'm totally cool with any unknown risks it may or may not contain.

It AMAZED me that people will smoke for 20 or 30 years and NOT ONCE pick apart the HUNDREDS of ingredients and toxins in cigaretts! Yet they start vaping and start PICKING TO DEATH the four ingredients of vaping! Pg VG flavor and nicotine. Yet you can't even begin to guess what is in cigarettes! ! Really folks! Think about it.. really STUDY the ingredients AND CHEMICAL ADDIRIVES of cigaretts. Break down EACH ONE, look at the RISKS involving EACH AND EVERY INGREDIENT AND CHEMICAL ADDITIVE. Once you have done that it will seem a little silly picking on the four vaping ingredients. You also will feel a lot better knowing you have chosen vaping over smoking! Think of all the YEARS you had been inhaling those confirmed HIGHLY TOXIC chemicals and didn't even think twice about it. Then switch to vaping and PICK APART the simple PG, VG ingredients that are in MOST of our food items we eat and use EVERYDAY. if you get worried about it, do the comparison research on cigarette smoke. Look CLOSELY at the ingredients. After that I'm quite certain you will actually be GREAT FULL that your vaping and not smoking. It will also seem kind of silly to be overly concerned about the vaping ingredients in comparison to tobacco smoke! be greatful that vaping has taken you away from THOSE toxins in cigarett smoke!! I know I'm greatful! Compare the ingredients side by side of vaping and smoking... after that you will see what I mean about seeming silly to pick apart vaping. Although it's not natural to inhale anything but oxygen, out of these two which do you consider the best choice?

One concern that I do have is whether vg in the lungs might tend to encourage bacterial or fungal infections in the lungs.

vg is sweet, and attracts ants, so I would imagine that it might also feed bacterial and fungal microbes.

Vegetable glycerin is both antifungal and antibacterial, so no, it won't feed it but will do the opposite.:2cool:

Good and healthy stuff, I have had painful toothaches in the past and swished with straight vegetable glycerin for immediate relief.:vapor:

Also, I have not found anything exclusively on vegetable glycerin as a cough expectorant, but it is present in most, if not all cough expectorants. This is why you folks cough up phlegm after vaping.

Being in a legal m m j state, I have experience with it as a cough expectorant and the results are similar to vaping just vegetable glycerin.

PG has antifungal and antibacterial properties.

To claim that VG has antifungal or antibacterial properties seems to be an overstatement.
