@Major911 and others:

I also had the problems that you describe with leaking while filling. I tried the water-test, and the water would start pouring out the airholes as the water level exceeded about halfway up the tank. Then it would settle at about a little less then half. Obviously, the juice flow control does not really make a 100% seal, at least not on some.

I have solved the problem by fitting an o-ring from the chamber cap of a Taifun. Now there are no more leakes whatsoever while filling or otherwise. It survives the water-test.

Of course the o-ring will obstruct the juice channels a little bit, but that hasn't been a problem for me. I vape 50/50 juice and wick it something like in the video posted previously.

The o-ring is a little too tight, but I think that one with 14mm inner diameter, 1mm thick, should do it.

Found an o ring in my old taifun box. Worked like a charm [emoji3] granted I've only filled it once so far but... Didn't leak a drop and I filled it to the brim. Yay! You may have saved my remaining serpents. Thanks for the idea.

That is so elfin cool! Mine has not leaked, but if it starts this will be the first thing I will try. That is really good news Major. I could not imagine going back to the STMini. The deck on this thing is so much nicer to work with.
You got that right bro. I really didn't want to give up on this tank. The vape on this thing is hands down the best I've experienced from any RTA thus far. This was such a good fix makes me wonder if this was a design oversight by wotofo. That little o ring makes the juice flow water tight now. I'm a happy camper

Lol d'oh. I remember reading that now but completely forgot about it. I didn't get it to move but I didn't try to hard. Itd be nice getting it flush with the vtc since the black and black looks real slick.

Edit: it tightened down a little bit but not much. Not really a deal breaker for me though. The STM does it also on the vtc and I've heard of people using washers and such so if really does get to me that's an option lol.

After tweaking and testing, this tank vapes way better than i could have imagined. In TC mode, i set it to 28.5J and 285F and it just chugs vapor and lots of flavor.

Took some testing to get the wiking just right; half and half. Half in the juice channels and half on the deck as seen in the last video posted on page 21. A lot easier with Cotton than with Rayon, since Rayon is less moldable but still doable.

Same coils in both tanks; ss430, 3mm ID, 5 wraps, 28g twisted with 4 strands. Tank 1 has Rayon, Tank 2 has Native Cotton.

Only issue, i cant keep batteries charged fast enough. I have x4 year old Sammy 25Rs and they dont last that long because im vaping so much or i just need new ones.

how does this compare to this aromamizer in flavor and vapor?

For a single coil tank it has a lot of airflow and vapor. It has good flavor also. People who like the Aromamizer, and want a single coil tank should like it.

Hello, fellow Serpents. I just thought I'd pop back in and say that after ten days of vaping my face off with this tank, I still love it. I've had a couple problems - a little leaking when filling, a little spinning-in-place with the JF ring - but they seemed to have simply worked themselves out. No more leaks on filling and the JFC ring stays put as long as I don't turn it too hard. I think it was just loose from me yanking the drip tip off every few minutes to clean it. Now I've replaced it with a delrin, friction fit tip and that works much better.
I also rebuilt it with a spaced macro coil, kinda like what RiP uses in his video for the pancake wicking method. That seems to improve the wicking considerably over a contact microcoil, and the flavor is superb. I haven't tried the pancake wick yet, since it doesn't seem to make a big difference how I wick it now. It just works.

Got this tank and really love most about it but wanted advice if anyone is having my issues. The 510 pin is too long for all my mods with those being the RX200 and a evic mini 75 watt. I dont have these issues with any other atty for things like lemos 2, aqua 2, erlk, RDTA and crius.
Right now I have cut about a 1 mm or just shy of strip of card for the evic to stop wobbling but it's not ideal. Its also got a slight fluctuation of 0.48 to 0.52 coming out but could be because of the wobble.

For the RX it is doing something so weird in that it will just not read. I have checked all other atties and its only this one. Real strange. Need to do some investigation into it. It has a gap of around 1-1.5 mm.

looking at all your photos it looks like I may be the only one having this issue so might buy another to confirm. Mine is the new black one and my only thinking is that its from a very new batch with slight miscalculation in 510. Any news much appreciated

Maybe these would help. A friend sent me some, and I'm using them on attys that won't screw in flush. A lot of attys seem to have long 510s now, probably for safety with hybrid top mechs.

Is there any chance that it's not screwing in all the way due to the black coating they used and too much is on the threads of the 510?

I just got my black one and I've been experiencing the same thing.

Right I am utterly confused. After making my first coil of ss it was actually vaping like a dream. Had 1 tank through on the evic mini with the gap but was thinking I could deal with that later.

When on the RX200 it would say no atomizer. My initial thought was it was the RX 200 playing up. I then get out my ohm reader and it was reading a consistent 3.2 ohms which was impossible.

I take it off, tighten all connections and try again. Same response, Came out at 0.5 on the evic, no reading on the rx200 and 3.2 on the ohm checker.

So now I change o-ring in the 510 and make a new coil. Exactly the same thing but differnt reading all staying consistent on all 3 devices with the exception that now the rx would read for one second and then show no atomizer.

I really don't want to send this back as the tank that worked was vaping like a dream even though \i am pretty sure on an incorrect ohms reading.....still worked wonderfully.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Also do you know if the base can be fully taken apart.

Ps just to note the airflow control came practically shut as its the tightest I have ever attempted to use. I am guessing a factory fault but want to try to rectify. THanks again

I am still a little uncertain but if there is a problem I am sure its with mine or my particular run as the overall build is flawless except AFC and the 510 with ohms. It's sleek, very well machined and gives a great vape. I tightened it down all the way now and the coil has settled in all devices but I think its a little under what it should be as I have a 6 wrap of 3mm clapton in there which is coming out to 1 ohm and I think it should be a little higher.

Apart from this hiccup I am loving this atty and will get a SS for next.
