I would have to agree with JackMormon...I use lots of wick. Done almost exactly like WestPole. I end up with just a tad in the jc, but very little. I would also get great results in flavor and vapor with a kanthal Clapton. I rarely use TC on any of my tanks. But I like the way non-TC vapes. Old school. 0.48 ohm @25-28 watts is my sweet spot right now. Never had a dry hit on this (except the time I forgot to open the juice control after a refill. Duh.)

Have you messed around with wicking? That would be my first thought in a TC build if there are no coil issues. I had to to try 3 or 4 times before I had great wicking. The WestPole's pics at the end of page 27 is basically how I do it. More is better with this tank.

I'm using a 24g SS316L 9 wrap 2.5mm ID coil in one of my serpents. It came out to .39ohms, on my RX200 I set the TCR to 0125, and get a good vape around 470-500F, 40W. That mod has a similar board as the cuboid, so you could try using the SS preset, which I think I read is 0120, or try bumping up your manual setting to 0120-0130 and see how that goes.

On my DNA200 with the same build/serpent, TCR to .001 (lowest escribe allows), and usually use it at 480F/40W.
Thanks for the responses. I have good wicking with a 3mm coil. Wick across deck with just a tad going down into juice channel. Great clouds and flavor. Just seemed weird that the same setup in 2 different tanks would require such a variation in temps. Really like the tank. Got 2 more on the way from the flash sale gearbest had a few days ago. Maybe I'll give it a go in the preset SS 316L setting the cuboid has. Thank again.

I just got my Serpent & RX200 yesterday. I used the included Twisted coil for my first build, wicked it like recommended here & it's working like a champ. I usually squonk but have to say for a tank the flavor is out of this world, I'm very impressed.

Hello,
Does anyone have issues with juice flow control? Mine is working smooth, until it jams. If i rotate it back a little, it goes more until i can open it completely.

Bladutz, I have not had any problems with my juice flow control. Are your wick tails getting caught in the threads? I always make sure there in no wick in the threads and if any wick is in the juice channels make sure none of the cotton (or rayon) overflow on to the threads. Also make sure your wicks ill not get pushed down or overflow when you screw on the chamber/body to the base.

No, i'm sure the wick is not caught in the chimney. I tried with no wick inside, and it is still the same. My guess is that the threads are bent in some place :(.

I also get a little binding in the JFC threads sometimes, but it doesn't bother me because I'm basically not using the JFC at all. With thicker juices I see no need to. My juices range from 70% to 85% VG and I just keep it full open always.

Is there any "safe" way to open/close the tank? Like close juice control, then open, or open fully JC then open the tank?

Not sure I understand the question. By open/close the tank do you mean detach or attach to the base, like when rebuilding?

I get a little binding also. I think it has something to do with how the chimney upper and lower parts are connected.

I'm having a bigger issue with getting consistent wicking. I've wicked it 3 times and only gotten decent preformance out of one. Kind of frustrating.

The base screws on to the tank and chamber (or off of) at the same time. I've noticed on occasion it wants to bind some when screwing it together. I simply turn the liquid control 180 and it screws together smoothly. Only on a couple of occasions did I have to do that.
So no you don't have to open or close juice control to remove the base.

I have had a bit suboptimal experience with this tank with regards to MTL. The airflow hole under the coil is huge, so if the coil is not very big, there is going to be a lot of excess air flowing around but not hitting the coil. This will lead to a bit harsh vape when used for MTL.

I am expecting some PTFE tubing, outer diameter 5mm and inner diameter 3mm, which I will attempt to stuff in the airhole to see if it works better for MTL. Will report back when I have tried that.

When I first got mine I used a 1.5 mm draw tube and PTFE from a TaifunGT and it vaped just like a TGT.
Now at about 4mm
