Well I got my mother, a lifelong smoker, to make the jump to vaping. She started with a few 510 batteries and vision nano clearos. She really liked my ego batteries with the kanger t3 setup. Much better than the 510/ nano. The nanos are ok, but she doesn't like the draw on them. So I gave her a ego battery to use. She would like something around the size of a T3, but I know she won't want to fiddle with them to keep them working. Is there a no fuss no muss tank, carto, or whatever that she could use. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Cheers.

Incidentally, I just gave my mom a setup last week. I gave her 2 650 mah batteries ( they were cheapest.) a charger, and 5 Bauway clearos. She won't have to fiddle with them, and she will buy enough to last her the month. I told her when she tastes a burnt taste, toss it, start a new one. No muss and no fuss. She just got her clearos yesterday, loaded them up last night, and she's had only 2 cigarettes today from a 2 PAD, 50 year habit. I found the clearos SUPER cheap on Happy ESmoker.

Best of luck to you and your mom!

Unfortunately she has pretty bad arthritis and can't work a syringe well enough to get the fluid in the tank.

A syringe? Are you talking about a Kanger T3? You don't need to fill that with a syringe. You can use the tip that comes on a regular juice bottle, or if you want to be more precise, a tapered cap or needle cap:

Like one of these:

or these:

both of which screw onto the bottle.

I'm wondering if you are thinking of a CE3, which is also a bottom-coil, but does require filling with a syringe.

This is the shortest video I could find in a quick search that shows how to fill a Kanger T3. Even though they say not to get liquid down the center hole, it doesn't matter, it's just a tube. You can blow it out &/or stick a rolled up piece of paper towel down it. You don't have to aim that well.

If she has problems with the weight of the Kanger (which was the reason I asked about it in the first place), is that Sun-Vapers commissioned a baby T3 from Kanger that is smaller:

Mini Kanger T3 or "Baby T3" by KangerTech for $5.49

Thanks for the info. I am talking about the bigger t3. I had not seen the lids with the long spout on them. That would help a lot with her hands. I'm new to the game and haven't really seen all that is out there. Might be right up her alley.

herionesick mentioned a 650mAh kit (and I think you said your mom was ok with a little eGo?). I recommend only name brands batteries, people seem to have more problems with the clones.

This is the best price I know of for an authentic Joyetech 650mAh kit. It's the same one I started with (although I paid a lot(!) more). It's got 2 batteries, charger, etc. The delivery system it comes with is "old school," but easy to use - it's a little plastic tube (cartridge) stuffed with filler that juice is dripped into, and then it's pushed into an atty which is screwed onto the tank. The carts can be restuffed forever. Blue aquarium foam works well. I used this set-up for a month or so until I got my first clearo. The batteries have regular 510/eGo threading, so Nanos, T3s, Stardusts, whatever can be put on them:

I've have a link to cheap Bauway clearos. I haven't tried them, but the member who sent me the link swears by them.

I started my mom up the same way I started with some 4081 cigalike setups from a local vendor....she isn't very technical and I doubt she will ever want to go through all the different setups and filling her own juice and all that. At her age she just wants something as simple as screwing on a pre-filled cart and charging the batt once in a while. It's easy for her, cheaper than buying cartons of analogs, she can get them easily nearby, and she's completely off the analogs, which is what she wanted...

The T3s are a good idea and when they quit or taste burnt she can just screw on another head and shes good to go again. As far as getting her a twist or a spinner, you could help her set the voltage where she likes it and she won't have to mess with it again. Also with a 1000mah battery it will last her longer and be one less thing she'll have to change out but maybe once a day.

Just a follow up. I bought three of the bauway ce4's. These are great little units for the price. Tbh I like them more than the vision nanos I was using. Plus you get a drip tip with them. Time will tell how they hold up, but now they are working well. I got my mother some bottles with the needle tip. So with a few bauways and T3s she should be set to go. Thanks for all the help. Cheers.

My suggestion is to keep it very simple and fun. Check out V4L - there's a really friendly support group here, the products aren't a great bargain but the website makes it fun and easy (and pretty) to buy a basic kit and a handful of filled cartos and roll. Let her start with prefilled cartos - she can get into stuff that has a learning curve later. I haven't used V4L for ages, but I've turned a LOT of people onto vaping and it's best to start most of them really simple. It should be all about fun flavors and getting the feel of it initially and developing the habit of just grabbing the batt instead of a cigarette, with zero frustration and failure - best if it's nothing more than screwing two pieces together and remembering to recharge. That way if a craving hits there's no task at hand or time fiddling. She can throw away the cartos even - they're cheaper than cigarettes.
I've had a lot of success getting others into vaping (a LOT) and after some trial and error I now always encourage people to start with that system. Except for die-hard tinkerers and shop guys and adolescent boys - they're more intrigued by stuff that wants building and adjusting and technicality.

Promise her Provari and tanks and mods and bottom feeders and artisan juices next mother's day if she likes it. Good luck, and good for you!
