So shooting up on the streets with life ending drugs is cool and can be done without consequence, other than free needles to do it again... without consequence. Enjoying a life saving ecig is banned, with consequences for non-compliance.

Really SF?? I mean really???

Witness the priorities of a truly broken and dysfunctional community.

Countries with the highest standard of living are socialist democracies? The troubles in the USA stem directly from the 89 dual Israeli Nationals in your US Congress which is illegal under the American Constitution. The last time a country was this top heavy with Jews was in the Russians version of parliament just before the Bolshevik revolution that resulted in up to 60 million Russians dying. Im not a Jew hater Im just stating facts.

That's some of the most antisemitic crap I've ever read. You think being a jew makes you a "dual citizen" of questionable loyalty? That's the line only preached at white supremacy fascist meetings. And there is nothing in the US constitution barring anyone of any religion from public office so stop the Nazi line. And saying you're not a Jew hater but just "stating facts" is a hate statement of itself. Talk about fake news and alternative truth. You're a walking typing example of it.

Hey Donpalms I agree with you about the lack of personal responsibility but that's got nothing to do with corruption...two entirely different things....the ban on vaping has not followed on from a ban on tobacco use, alcohol use etc.

The only other reason it can be happening is someone is getting financial gain from it....believe me when you're looking from the outside in the situation is so bizarre that there is no logical people's argument for it.....sorry :)
yes and no...financially they want us to keep smoking, they get the pay off from the tobacco companies in the law suit, and they also get bribes from the tobacco industry, vaping they will hand over to one of the big tobacco corporations, but it goes beyond all that...the political class hate vaping because it works..it is not simple corruption at work here...vaping was not created by the govermenrt, or a globalist corporation,it was not bankrolled by the banks..it was created by small groups of creative, ingenious, passionate, INDIVIDUALS in their garages, and shops, and kitchen tables, and they built it into a multibillion dollar industry....the vapers themselves did not wait for a goverment report on the saftey of vaping...they used the avaiable science and COMMON SENSE.they did not bow to fear but sprang toward freedom and creativity ...vaping is a monumental exposure of the lie, that we need the goverment...that they are concerned about us, that they help us....vaping turned us from subjects into free thinking people and it worked,,WE the vaping community made one of the most important health breakthroughs in a century by ourselves working together and supporting each other......and the goverments, and the UN and the experts, and the college proffesors hate our guts for that...we acted without their consent or their control....that is what makes vaping important to me.

Eh, it doesn't quite seem that way when the head of the executive branch of this government frequently refers to the free press as an "enemy of the state". Certainly more the thing you expect to hear in places like the old Soviet Union from folks like Stalin. Unless it's Fox and he likes the story.

I see it as quite the opposite really and a serious obvious problem and threat is being exposed.

When day, after day, after day, after day, I see the same exact catch phrases used by all left leaning television, radio, social media, major print, and politicians using the same words to describe a belief to be disseminated to the masses, and it happens within a span of minutes or hours I know that a disinformation attack of vast proportions is being perpetrated on the US population. It makes all forms of media sounding like parrots that have only learned a few phrases without thought behind their words. This is unbiased news? It is obvious and blatant and there is no way a thinking person could classify this as anything other than propaganda on a very large scale. This is especially clear when a short time later it is proven that these catch phrases that are designed to sway opinion are provably false, and yet it had already done it's disinformation work and no retractions are issued to correct the errors leaving the initial impression intact and the objective achieved.

This cannot happen by accident given the frequency of the occurrences. The real question is who is the entity originally crafting and having the power to control the narrative to this degree?

If the Russians and their shenanigans affected the 2016 election, it was quite mild in comparison to this level of organized propaganda. I guess Americans are really good at just about everything, including propaganda.

The only folks less trusted at this point than the current media... all forms of media, is our politicians. But at least with the politicians we are not supposed to trust them, but keep an ever watchful eye. We need to take the same view towards the media now which shapes so much of the populations opinions. This not a left/right thing either. Distrust all media now because they are not worthy of our trust.

    Ironic, isn't it?

But they were real early in legalizing the other stuff.

yeah they don't care if people are laying all over the sidewalks, hypodermic needles and feces all over the place...but, but, let's get concerned about selling vaping products

It was in the Chronicle yesterday:
'We don't want them in our city': SF officials seek Juul crackdown

You'd think a city that has streets littered with human excrement and used needles could focus on more important things?

I have no words... One of the most beautiful cities in the world completely trashed... Tourism is affected, big conferences and events canceled due to unsafe streets, drugs, unsanitary conditions, crime, and drugs. Newsom ruined the city and now is working on ruining the rest of the state--whatever's left of it...

Big Convention Pulls Out Of San Francisco, Citing Unsafe Streets

And they worry about JUUL?

Heey Equality....that's a nice thought and some of your argument is definitely applicable but attack due to hatred?...sorry I don't buy that idea. Simply put, if that were true then the powers that be would have been against other things that were created by individuals which then became mainstream.

And there are too many numerous examples where that clearly didn't happen....to be really honest, when you're looking in at the US from outside it really is totally bizarre and don't forget that in part one would expect that because you are a very young political system compared to others...it takes a long time for a political system to gradually iron out their mistakes over millennia!!

    Happy vaping :)
We are not a very young political system we are an ancient political system we are a Republic and our founders studied the Roman Republic, they were educated men..Our system is the flower of Westeren thought we were the evolution of the direction of where Westeren thought was going...so much so that after our revolution from the English Monarchy the movement that WE started was to change the face of europe and it was soon after our breaking the chains of the English Monarchy that republics were to sprout up all over Europe,Including France, ( which makes our Republic older than yours)..and Europe evolved from fuedalisim.
Yes the established order does hate us, They hate a free internet, they hate free speech, they hate ballot boxes... just as the English Monarchy hated the US or the Irish, just as the French aristocray hated the people that stormed the Bastille just as Nicholas hated the Bolsheviks ...the elite feel they have a God given right to rule over the masses and when the masses rise up the ruling elite don't offer dialouge, they don't offer debate, they don't offer negotiations usually they offer guns and bayonets.the ruling elite do not feel the common man has either the right or ability to govern themselves they felt that way 300 years ago they feel the exact same way if not more so today. The concept of self rule by the governed is not the common experince of human history it is the exception, and it always is under threat....Perhaps you could enlighten me on exactlly which of your venerable and ancient political systems have as you put it.."ironed out there mistakes" that We Americans can learn from them .because from looking as An American out at the rest of the world...it seems....there sure a helluva alot of you guys that want to move here...

I just want to add public executions after their terms end due to voted out by the people

You could do that in California...

But the Governor would just go against the Will of the People and set aside the Executions.

Well I guess ...if your going to San Francisco...be sure to NOT to wear those flowers in your hair anymore...the live and let live attitude that was what at one time the Hallmark of San Francisco, that made it home to the beatniks, Hippies, Homosexuals, Freaks, Bikers, every religon and cult, free speech, free love, free thinking, has become the "New Churchladies" a cult of self righteous delusional totalitarian creeps.I lived in SF for over a decade, and the attitude among the people was....freedom to be yourself however you percieved it.there was only one taboo...violence...everything else was welcomed hell was encouraged...it was the only place in the world where a gay bearded lady midget could honestly say she was going to spend the day watching the freaks on the street and have her mind blown....now it appears to be a collection of Puritans looking for a witch to burn...I mean look at it..it was the city that produced the Grateful Dead, the Jefferson Airplane, Sly and the family Stone,The dead Kennedys.. ...what have they given us in the last 20 years....idotic political grandstanding virtue signalling frauds and probally the greatest and most inhuman disparity of wealth in the country.

That sounds more realistic. However, I'm confused about this City. I thought it was an open minded, progressive community. ...

Sometimes the Views of 11 people on a Board do not accurately reflect the Majority Views of the 800,000 they are supposed to represent.

I lived in SF for over a decade and had been visting it for longer...so this subject got me to thinking and I did a little research....in 1960 at the birth of the Summer of love/ Haight Ashbury scene 41% of the population of SF were republicans..It was this population that were tolerant enough to make room in their city for freaks, hippies, gays, immigrants ect to thrive in peace....and yet today SF is so intolerant that only 9% of the population are now republicans...and they live in fear not in tolerance and villified daily....kind of funny huh..
I listened to a discussion about how this odd shift has taken place. It was a pretty interesting expose on how our younger generation's views have become distorted. I wish I could present it to you but it's way too complicated for me to justify the psychology behind a college professor being reported by his students for telling the story of "Sirens" and showing art depicting them topless. If you're a female who's offended by seeing breasts in a painting what the hell are you going to do when you see a penis on one of Michelangelo's sculptures? I can't even talk about this anymore, it's too screwed up!

What change from the 60s and 70s when it was full of hippies, free love and do what ya want. Disappointing. Nothing stays the same though. The place is a public sewer now.

FWIW in October 1967 an effigy of a true hippie was buried in the pan handle of Golden Gate Park (near Haight-Ashbury) to signify the end of their era. In part because the radical Youth International Party was forming (the Yippies) that lead to the riots, etc in the Bay Area and elsewhere in 1968 and beyond.

If you were street wise SF was not what I would call dangerous, but rather just a place to be heads up and aware of your surroundings. Until I met my lady there I was on the prowl more often than not alone at any time day or night there every weekend in the city no problems at all. Oakland was considered the most dangerous area in the Bay Area the years I was there by most folks (gangs, Angels, Panthers). But to me they were not a concern either because back then if you gave respect on the streets you got back respect. It also might of helped that I was big, strong and fearless... but diplomacy if given the chance was the smart choice.

Really? What other country has its constitution in place for 230 years now, with only minor changes?

Like I needed another reason to not visit that cesspool...or the whole state for that matter.
There are some really unique and amazing things to be seen on a visit to California. But I doubt I'll be going back there again in this lifetime.
What he said ... and I'm trying to be good enough so karma doesn't put me there in next.

It's so sad. California could be, used to be, a paradise. Cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway on a summer day, stopping for some delicious seafood along the way, watching the waves and the sunsets, the sea gulls and pelicans and sea lions... Mountains, beaches, margaritas... :D
