Hi All,

After some experiment i think i found some recipes that i intended for my future everyday vaping liquid.
I'm planning to do around 2-4L per recipe (out of 5 recipe) since i predict that my work will not give me a decent amount of time to do many diy mixing in the near future so i might use those for ready to go stocks especially when i'm on the road or such.

My plan is to mix pg, vg, nic and flav in 250ml each to accomplish the 2-4ml target. Some recipe might need a quite some time for steeping and currently for small batches like 30-60ml i can shake them individually by hand each couple days or whenever i have spare time and soak it in warm bath a while. But to shake couple 250ml bottles would be something, wouldn't it?

So any idea on shake during steeping time?
Or do you think shaking is unnecessary and just let it steep there for certain days?

Thank you in advance

I make small batches and add halo liquid to it for a slight flavor, as i find it only takes a small amount to add flavoring to my taste. Shaking it up is tricky it's just so thick. I will be interested to hear how others mix their's up thoroughly. Shaking the bottle doesn't seem to do much at the time but i find over time the longer it sits it works it's way through.

I've seen people using hand blenders and they seem to work great especially for very large batches.
Have you guys tried using those? They should be strong enough and should have enough rpm to be able to mix the juice very well in a few seconds.

First, I'd be a leery about making 2-4L batches of any eliquid at a time! That's a bunch, even for ones I really like and use as all day vapes!

    About this though:

I don't see why shaking 250mL bottles would be any harder than shaking 30-60mL bottles, physically anyway. A regular size can of any soft drink is only 355mL, so 100mL less than that shouldn't be a problem to shake, IMO. As long as there's some extra room in the bottle so things CAN move around/blend enough...there's no problem that I can see in doing it. Maybe I'm missing something though??

I believe on 'let it sits' also, but then i kept doubting that sits alone would do.

I kept hearing something about the bubbles and nicotine and stuff when it comes to blender. I don't know...

Sounds crazy, but vibrators help, those cheap bug looking ones Wal Mart sells are fine, perfect in fact. Turn the vibrator on, hold the 30 ml bottle, which is the perfect size, between the bug legs, invert, wait 30 seconds, invert again, repeat twice - juice mixed.

    Vibrators?
    You mean like....sex one? ahahahah
Anyway, it's not for 30ml i guess since i'm thinking of larger batch starting from 250ml and above.

    Thanks!

250 mils, I'd just use my NINJA for that much. That's half of the small cup so, that would be fine.

So you have hired a person who is skilled in the Japanese art of ninjutsu to mix your liquids?
Maybe a tad too much? [emoji14]
No seriously... What is a ninja?

Quite curious on this ninja stuff

As to how much to make, Only enough mix for 2 months. After the first month, then increase amounts.
With regards to shaking/agitation, I have found a 4 week min. steep with an occasional tipping the container upside down 6-7 times during the month indistinguishable from vigorous frequent shaking. The chance of something going wrong caused by Herculean methods of speed steeping far exceeds any benefits in my book.
Whatever works for you is the right way to steep.

Ninja is a brand of counter-top blenders. Some, either come with, or have for optional purchase, a smaller 1-2 cup mixing chamber. Counter-top blenders, along with handheld blenders and immersion blenders, are useful because they have high torque and can handle large volumes of thick liquids easily. Their downside is they will heavily aerate (oxygenate) the liquid, which can lead to faster nicotine oxidation, and rapid flavor loss of volatile flavor notes (aromatic dependent flavors). Both of which will be more noticeable when mixing multiple months worth of product.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but get one of those cheap throw away paint stirrers that attach to your drill (every home has a hand drill) and use that to stir your batch of e liquid. Put everything in a large stainless steel mixing bowl (if your kitchen doesn't have one they are 15 dollars at Wal-Mart) before stirring. Mix well, let it sit covered til all air bubbles are gone, then stir again.. do this three times very well.. Then use a funnel once well mixed to put it into the appropriate containers.
