Shelf life of full tank?

Sorry if this is a noob question, but I didn't know what search terms to use.

So I fill a carto in a tank, but I'm not sure how long it will take for me to use up this tank (one of many). How long can it sit around with juice in it before it becomes a problem? What problems arise from this?

If it's going to be for a couple weeks to--say--a month, don't worry.

If it's going to be longer than that, I'd take a few steps to keep it cool and out of direct light, like in the fridge.

I have a friend that has an army of cartotanks and clearomizers (literally hundreds, he's one of those guys with too much money and time to be moderate), and some of them have been out several months.

Some people leave juice for upwards of a couple months to "steep", which helps the flavor, so it's definitely not a bad thing to hang on to juice for a while.

I think the biggest fear is the nicotine oxidizing and breaking down into uselessness.

I have juice that has been sitting in CE4s for almost a year. Two of the clearos died because the mildly caustic juice broke them down over time and one had thick juice it in that heavily gunked up the wicks, so it's going to live in the trash too. Welcome to the wild frontier! No one knows what can happened next!

The only problems I can think of is leaking, juice breaking down the tank, juice tasting weird, juice looking weird.

I don't like to clean, so I tend to designate one flavor for one tank and just keep filing it and hot swapping until the juice tastes like toast or I decide I don't like it anymore. It sounds like you might not be using a carto tank, but if you are and don't know what a "Hot Swap" is, click on the link in my signature.

ETA: For other type of tanks, I still only use one flavor in each, but then throw the clearo or head away when it wears out.

As long as you're not exposing it to temperature extremes, it should be fine for a month or more.. I have 2 tanks that I only pull out once in a while and the juice is still fine after 3 months. I did remove the drip tips and replaced the carto cap before I put them away though..

My carto/tanks will not work like that, I am using DCCT's, the cartos have a flange on the bottom that needs to index with a recess on the bottom of the tank. But I do have a drip tip that I can put in the top to keep more juice in the tank when I "hot swap" cartos on a tank with juice in it.
I know it will not sit in the tank for more than 2 weeks tops, so it sounds like I have nothing to worrie about

I have a couple of tanks like that, but I made a point not to buy anymore. Letting it steep for two weeks will probably make your juice even more yummy

Aside from the flavoring, none of the chemical components in e juice decompose fast enough to have a useful expiration date. Its the microbes and fungi that do it, how fast depends on sheer luck basically. A bug capable of living in e juice might make its way to it the first time you fill the carto or never or anywhere in between. Whether an infestation affects the vapeability of the juice i got no idea since there is no research on bugs that live in vg/pg and how they behave when inhaled.

So since there is no sciency data to back up anything on this topic vape whatever you dare to

Yeah, I've kept 'em for a month at most. You could probably go longer than that, but I'd say a month is definitely okay.
